  • Patent number: 11383081
Abstract: A neurostimulation system includes an electromyographic (EMG) electrode; a neural electrode implantable in a deep cerebellar nuclei of a subject; a data acquisition unit in communication with the EMG electrode for receiving and transmitting a EMG signal; and a processor in communication with the data acquisition unit, the processor generates a EMG pattern based on the EMG signal and outputs a stimulation signal to the neural electrode when the EMG pattern is indicative of an abnormal motor movement. A method of modulating an abnormal motor movement of a subject by using the neurostimulation system.

  • Patent number: 11347760
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for expedited indexing of content is presented. Submitted content is received via a user interface, where the submitted content is copy-and-pasted content from an entity claiming authorship of the content. A link identifying an Internet address hosting the submitted is also received. Responsive to determining the submitted content is new relative to known content, the submitted content is indexed without visiting the Internet address.

  • Patent number: 10963472
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for or crawling and indexing content is presented. A message is received, where the message includes (i) submitted content, wherein the submitted content is identified as being published by an entity, and (ii) a link to a location on a resource hosting the submitted content. An evaluation is made as to whether the submitted content is represented in an index of known content to determine whether the submitted content is new relative to the known content. In response to the evaluation, a request is issued to a search engine to crawl and index the submitted content hosted by the resource associated with the link when the submitted content is new relative to the known content.

  • Patent number: 10503740
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for re-ranking ranked search results is presented. Ranked search results satisfying a search query are obtained, where the ranked search results include a first search result corresponding to a first document associated with a first entity and a second search result corresponding to a second document associated with a second entity, and where the first search result is ranked higher than the second search result. The first document and the second document are determined to satisfy a similarity criterion. The second entity is determined to satisfy a predefined authorship differential with respect to the first entity. Responsive to determining that the second entity satisfies the predefined authorship differential with respect to the first entity, the second search result and the first search result in the ranked search results are swapped to produce re-ranked search results.

  • Patent number: 9558233
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining a measure of quality for a resource. In one aspect, a method includes determining a seed score for each seed resource in a set. The seed score for a seed resource can be based on a number of resources that include a link to the seed resource and a number of selections of the links A set of source resources is identified. A source score is determined for each source resource. The source score for a source resource is based on the seed score for each seed resource linked to by the source resource. Source-referenced resources are identified. A resource score is determined for each source-referenced resource. The resource score for a source-referenced resource can be based on the source score for each source resource that includes a link to the source-referenced resource.

  • Patent number: 9002832
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for enhancing search results. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a resource quality score for each of a plurality of resources linking to a site/ Each of the resources is assigned to one of a plurality of resource quality groups, each resource quality group being associated with a range of resource quality scores, each resource being assigned to the resource quality group associated with the range encompassing the resource quality score for the resource. The number of resources in each resources quality group is counted. A link quality score is determined for the site using the number of resources in each resource quality group. If the link quality score is below a threshold link quality score, the site is classified as a low quality site.
