  • Publication number: 20080057800
Abstract: A kind of elastic metal sheet is disclosed. The elastic metal sheet includes a base, a bent portion, an elastic arm, and a contact portion. The base includes a first surface and an opposite second surface. The first surface is configured for connecting to a circuit substrate by soldering. The bent portion extends from an end of the base and is bent towards another end of the base. The elastic arm extends from an end of the bent portion. The contact portion extends from an end of the elastic arm and includes a contact surface distal from the base. The contact surface defines a dome-shaped bulge thereon. The dome-shaped bulge is configured for contacting an electronic component. The elastic metal sheet contacts the electronic component well even an elastic deformation occurs.

  • Publication number: 20070144768
Abstract: A composite circuit board comprises multiple soft panels evenly mounted on a rigid panel. The soft panels are positioned on the rigid panel in proper alignment via locating pins on the rigid panel and corresponding holes in the soft panels. The soft panels are securely bonded to the rigid panel to form the composite circuit boards. The smaller size of the soft panels minimizes the alignment problems caused by the different heat expansion rates of the soft panel and the rigid panel.

  • Patent number: 7172907
Abstract: Disclosed are cyanine dyes having meso-substituents in the polymethine chain linking the heterocyclic ring systems. The dyes are of formula (1): in which groups R3 and R4 are attached to the Z1 ring structure and groups R5 and R6 are attached to the Z2 ring structure, and n=1, 2 or 3; Z1 and Z2 independently represent the atoms necessary to complete one ring, or two fused ring aromatic or heteroaromatic systems, each ring having five or six atoms selected from carbon atoms and optionally no more than two atoms selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur; X and Y are the same or different and are selected from oxygen, sulphur, —CH?CH— and the group: at least one of groups R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 (and R8 and R9 if present) is the group -E-F where E is a spacer group and F is a target bonding group; one of groups R7 is selected from —CN, —Cl, —F, —CF3 and —C(O)R10 wherein R10 is selected from H, C1–C6 alkyl and aryl.

  • Publication number: 20050260593
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel class of fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET) labelling reagents, based on and synthesised from easily prepared dye building blocks. The labelling reagents are in the form of “cassettes” which enable their attachment to a wide variety of biological and other materials. A labelling reagent comprises at least two fluorescent dye moieties covalently linked via a linker group and optionally having a target bonding group for attaching the reagent to a target. The energy transfer labelling reagents may be bound to target materials through covalent or non-covalent attachment. The dyes are selected so that the emission spectrum of a first (or donor) dye overlaps the absorption spectrum of a second dye, thereby allowing energy transfer to occur between the dyes. The dye building blocks are 4?, 5?-bis-aminomethyl-fluorescein and/or its 5(6)-carboxylic acid and having the structure (1).

  • Publication number: 20050255475
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel set of four fluorescently labeled dye terminators. Two of them are single dye labeled terminators and the other two dye terminators are based on fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET). The FRET dye terminators are generated from the 4?,5?-bis-aminomethylfluorescein. Of the two amino groups of the donor dye, 4?,5?-bis-aminomethylfluorescein, one amino group is used to attach the acceptor dye, and the other amino group is used to attach the dideoxynucleoside-5?-triphosphate. Their preparation, energy transfer efficiency, and use as labels, specifically, in DNA sequencing reactions is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5500333
Abstract: The invention is generally accomplished by providing a method of finishing an emulsion comprising providing silver halide grains, adding to said emulsion in an amount between about 0.005 mmol/per mole of silver and 0.10 mmol/per mole of silver of the compound ##STR1## X=O, S, Se; R.sub.1 =alkyl or substituted alkyl or aryl or substituted aryl;Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 individually represent hydrogen, alkyl groups or an aromatic nucleus or together represent the atoms necessary to complete a cyclic structure containing carbon, oxygen, selenium, or nitrogen atoms necessary to complete a fused aromatic nucleus or an alicyclic structure. The invention also provides a photographic element comprising the silver halide emulsion. In a preferred embodiment, the R.sub.1 substituent is methyl or phenyl.

  • Patent number: 4952495
Abstract: Hydrolyzable substrates comprise blocked moieties which, when cleaved from the substrate during hydrolysis, provide electron transfer agents. The released electron transfer agents can be recycled between a reductant and a reducible compound that upon reduction provides a detectable species. Alternatively, they can be recycled between an oxidant and an oxidizable compound that upon oxidation provides a detectable species. These substrates are useful in analytical compositions, elements and methods for the determination of hydrolytic analytes, such as hydrolytic enzymes or biological cells containing such enzymes.
