    Abstract: A method for analyzing data using a blockchain, a data provider and a data customer therefor are disclosed. The method analyzing data using a blockchain is provided wherein a plurality of data sets is stored and processed in a data storage in a distributed manner using a cluster of nodes. The method comprises steps of deploying a smart contract to the blockchain according to a request from a data customer, receiving a request for executing code for data sets selected by a data customer, estimating an amount of token required for executing the code for the selected data sets in the data storage, and controlling, in said distributed manner using the cluster of nodes, execution of the code for the selected data sets based on the balance amount of token while the balance amount of token is greater than the estimated amount of token. The request for executing code includes code to be executed and a balance amount of token which the data customer currently has.

A data set is stored at a data storage (16) and comprises a first file identifier and a first encrypted data item generated by an encryption using a first public key. A blockchain comprises the first file identifier paired with a first recipient identifier identifying one or more allowed first recipients, each having the first recipient identifier and a first private key matching the first public key. The method is performed by a second terminal (12) being an allowed first recipient and the method comprises: identifying (102) the first file identifier in the blockchain using the first recipient identifier, sending (106) a request containing the first file identifier to the data storage (16) for downloading of the first encrypted data item, receiving (116) the first encrypted data item from the data storage (16), and decrypting (118) the first encrypted data item using the first private key.

The data is processed to generate at least one meta data block reflecting information about objects of interest represented by the data content. The at least one meta data block is encrypted. The data is divided into data chunks of a respective predefined size, and encrypted. The encrypted data chunks and meta blocks are sent over the communication structure to fusion nodes, where, after decryption, meta data blocks are fused into a new meta data block if an object-of-interest criterion is fulfilled. The new meta data blocks are encrypted and sent over the communication structure. Data storage nodes store copies of the encrypted data chunks and meta data blocks in an information structure of block chains of encrypted meta data blocks organized in one chain per object of interest.
