Patent number: 11943363Abstract: Described herein are a system and techniques for enabling biometric authentication without exposing the authorizing entity to sensitive information. In some embodiments, the system receives a biometric template from a user device which is encrypted using a public key associated with the system. The encrypted biometric template is then provided to a second entity along with a biometric identifier. Upon receiving a request to complete a transaction that includes the biometric identifier and a second biometric template, the second entity may encrypt the second biometric template using the same public key associated with the system and perform a comparison between the two encrypted biometric templates. The resulting match result data file is already encrypted and can be provided to the system to determine an extent to which the two biometric templates match.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2018Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Visa International Service AssociationInventors: John F. Sheets, Kim R. Wagner, Sunpreet Singh Arora, Lacey Best-Rowden, Chunxi Jiang

Patent number: 11900374Abstract: A method to display an illustration to conduct an expedited electronic transaction is provided. Consumer identification information identifying a consumer is received. The consumer identification information is stored in association with a web browser of a consumer's device. A customized illustration is displayed based on the received consumer identification information on the consumer's device. A request is received for the expedited electronic transaction by swiping the customized illustration across a portion of the display of the consumer's device. Transaction data sufficient to complete the electronic transaction is sent to the merchant based on the swipe of the customized illustration across display of the consumer's device.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2022Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: Visa International Service AssociationInventors: Chunxi Jiang, Clint Florez, Peng Zhao, Kevin Carvalho, Sang Wook Lee

Patent number: 10803504Abstract: A computerized method for integrating actionable items using a messaging artificial intelligence. A first actionable item is provided to a user for selection. In response to the selection, a processor activates a messaging artificial intelligence (“AI”) for instantiation in a messaging software. The messaging AI interacts with the user in the messaging software as a function of the message and the action and obtains parameters for the action. The messaging AI determines to terminate the interaction and, once terminated, the messaging AI generates a second actionable item for execution by a data payload execution platform. The data payload execution platform executes the second actionable item to complete processing of the action in the first actionable item.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2017Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: VISA INTERNATIONAL SERVICE ASSOCIATIONInventors: Thomas Purves, Margaret Szeto, Chunxi Jiang
