  • Patent number: 9579303
Abstract: The disclosure relates to compositions, preferably in the form of a powder and/or granules, which contain as principal components a first component selected from the group consisting of isoflavones, soy products containing at least one isoflavone, and mixtures thereof, together with a polysaccharide as second component. A preferred first component is genistein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or derivative thereof (e.g. genistin). A preferred second component is pectin. The disclosure further relates to a process for the manufacture of such compositions, and their use in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical and personal care compositions. The disclosure is also directed to the use of a polysaccharide for improving the flowability of a component selected from the group consisting of isoflavones, soy products, preferably those containing at least one isoflavone, and mixtures thereof.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 14, 2006

  • Patent number: 8951560
Abstract: The present invention is directed to isoflavone nanoparticle compositions comprising isoflavone in the form of nanoparticles and preferably a carrier. The isoflavone nanoparticle compositions are particularly useful for preparing cosmetic compositions, pharmaceutical compositions, foodstuff, food and feed additives. In the compositions comprising the isoflavone nanoparticle compositions recrystallization of the isoflavone to bigger particles is retarded.

  • Patent number: 8697126
Abstract: The present invention describes a process for the manufacture of a solid composition comprising a microorganism, which process comprises a first step of blending and/or compacting the microorganism with a salt of a medium or long-chain fatty acid to prepare a powderous mixture or compacted granulate, and a second step of providing said powderous mixture or compacted granulate with a coating. The microorganisms are preferably probiotics. The invention also relates to the solid composition obtained by said process and to its use in food.
