    Abstract: A carrying case for portable communication devices employing vibrations to signal incoming messages or calls is disclosed. The case includes within it an exterior facing metallic member and an interior facing retaining member. The retaining member urges the communication device against the metallic portion, thereby aiding in transmitting the vibrations from the interior of the carrying case to the exterior of the carrying case to enhance the ability of the user to detect the vibration signally an incoming message or call.
