  • Publication number: 20220388205
Abstract: The present invention falls within the scope of thermo-laminated and compact high-pressure composites, namely it relates to a method for the manufacture of a post-deformable high-pressure composite, which can be used in the automotive, aircraft, railway and naval industries, as well as in the architecture and design sector, both in indoor and outdoor environments, comprising the steps of formation of a composite (1) by the arrangement of at least two layers of material, including a layer of Kraft paper sheets (3) coated with thermoplastic resin and a layer of decorative coating; the composite formed in a flat shape, when subjected to a certain temperature and pressure in a mould (4), changes in its geometry according to the shape of that mould (4). It is also an object of this invention the product obtained with the aforementioned manufacturing method.

  • Publication number: 20220153003
Abstract: The present invention is enclosed in the area of panels for structural and decorative surfaces, in particular panels containing polymer-based materials, suitable for the coating of surfaces, for example, and containing such polymer-based materials in the respective layers. The present invention may relate to the integration of polymer granules, recycled or unrecycled, being particularly relevant when the granules are obtained from end-of-life polymer-based materials, for instance obtained from car tires into the core of compact laminate boards. It is therefore an object of the present invention a composite panel (100) for structural and decorative surfaces wherein it comprises a core panel, the core panel (10) comprising a mixture of granules of a polymeric material and a bonding element (1), the bonding element providing for the bonding of the granules of a polymeric material.

  • Patent number: 8773747
Abstract: The present invention relates to electrochromic devices and methods for functionalizing cellulose-based materials, in production and post-production stages, in order to obtain solid-state electrochromic devices. The invention is in the field of electrochemistry. These functionalized cellulose-based materials have typical electrochromic characteristics, specifically the capacity to change the oxidation state, leading to a modification of the physical properties, shown by a color change when exposed to an electric potential difference, being this color change reversible. The color remains in the absence of any electric stimulus, demonstrating a memory effect.

  • Publication number: 20140139576
Abstract: Tungsten trioxide (WO3) nanoparticles are synthesized via a sol-gel route using metallic tungsten as precursor and printed on a flexible electrode using inkjet printing in order to build solid-state electrochromic cells. A method for separate control of different spectral regions of the electrochromic device (near infrared and visible) is disclosed.
