  • Patent number: 8849516
Abstract: A method for adaptation of a steering wheel torque overlay of a lane keeping aid system in a vehicle comprises requesting a controller steering wheel torque overlay Tr from a controller, measuring an applied steering wheel torque Ta applied on a steering wheel of the vehicle, determining a scaling factor ? as a function of the applied steering wheel torque Ta, and determining a corrective steering wheel torque overlay Tc based on the controller torque overlay Tr multiplied by the scaling factor ?. A system for adaptation of a steering wheel torque overlay, a lane keeping aid system comprising such a system, and a vehicle comprising such a lane keeping aid system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8762043
Abstract: A system for collision course prediction includes a host vehicle sensor system detecting information relating to a target object including a position and a velocity relative to the host vehicle; a time-to-collision estimator control block calculating an estimated time-to-collision based on a longitudinal distance, longitudinal velocity and longitudinal acceleration of the target object relative to the host vehicle; a lateral distance estimator control block, which estimates the lateral distance between the centers of the host vehicle and target object at the estimated time-to-collision; and a collision course condition determination unit determining, at a determination instant prior to the estimated time-to-collision, a probability that the host vehicle will collide with the target object dependent at least in part upon whether the lateral distance is within a first interval, the first interval based on at least a lateral width of the host vehicle and a lateral width of the target object.

  • Publication number: 20140173306
Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein can offer a method that includes receiving storage operation information that is to indicate one or more storage drive operations, receiving storage independent power information, determining, by a processor, a performance profile based at least in part on the storage operation information and the storage independent power information, and causing a setting of at least one power management directive that is to correspond with the performance profile.

  • Publication number: 20020076471
Abstract: A container for a dehydrated or otherwise concentrated product and for the hydrated/reconstituted product made therefrom has a first sheet section that forms the body of the container, a second sheet section that forms bottom of the container. The sheet is made from material containing at least 30% by weight a mineral based material.

  • Patent number: 5061142
Abstract: The present invention relates to an assembly for loading or unloading cargo which comprises a cargo space having a base portion and a loading-unloading apparatus having a supporting structure. A cargo conveyor has an upper part and a lower part, the upper part of the conveyor bearing against the supporting structure of the loading-unloading apparatus. Lifting devices are connected to the supporting structure for lifting the supporting structure to alter the distance between the supporting structure and the base portion. The raising of the supporting structure with respect to the base portion, when cargo is moved on the loading-unloading apparatus, transmits a substantially concentrated weight exerted by the cargo through the lifting devices to the base portion, and the lower part of the conveying means is freely movable beneath the supporting structure.
