  • Patent number: 7594538
Abstract: The invention relates to a plate package for a heat exchanger device including a tank with an inner space and an inner wall surface. A sectional plane (p) extends vertically through the inner space. The tank has an inlet for the supply of a liquid medium and an outlet for discharging the medium in a gaseous state. The inner space defines a lower part space and an upper part space. The plate package (10) with heat exchanger plates (11) is provided in the inner space. Each heat exchanger plate has an extension plane perpendicular to the sectional plane. The heat exchanger plates form first plate interspaces that are open towards the inner space for recirculation of the medium, and second plate interspaces, which are closed towards the inner space for the recirculation of a fluid for evaporating the medium. Each heat exchanger plate includes a first porthole (14) and a second porthole (15).

  • Patent number: 7472563
Abstract: The invention provides a submerged evaporator (14) with integrated plate heat ex-changer (4) that may operate with markedly increased capacity, where the evaporator (14) does not require more space than other known types and have a smaller filling volume of refrigerant (10) than prior art units. The integrated plate heat exchanger (4) is built up with an outer contour that substantially follow the lower contour of the casing (6) and the liquid level, where the integrated heat exchanger (4) has at least one inlet connection (24.1) and at least one outlet connection (24.2) for secondary refrigerant (26), and where the upper volume of the casing acts as a liquid separator. With such design, much less space is occupied than with prior art types of submerged evaporators. The reason is that the internal volume is better utilised.

  • Patent number: 7152663
Abstract: The invention refers to a plate heat exchanger, which includes a sensor device and a plate package of heat transfer plates (1). The heat transfer plates form between the plates (1) first passages (3) for a first fluid and second passages (4) for a second fluid. The sensor device includes a space (21), which is closed to the first passages (3) and the second passages (4). The closed space (21) is arranged to contain a medium, which can be influenced by the temperature of at least one of the fluids, and to be connectable to a device (14) for sensing a pressure change of the medium in the closed space (21). The closed space (21) is at least partly defined by at least one of the plates (1).

  • Patent number: 6164371
Abstract: The present invention constitutes a plate heat exchanger for three heat exchanging fluids. The heat exchanger includes at least one core of plates with heat exchanging plates (1-4), at least two end plates (5) and inlets and outlets (6) for the heat exchanging fluids, each one of the heat exchanging plates (1-4) being provided with six port holes (11-16). The plate heat exchanger has port holes (11-16) that are pairwise aimed for the flowing through of the respective heat exchanging fluids where the port holes (11-16) in every such pair are situated on both sides of a heat transferring part in such a way that a straight line drawn between the centers of the port holes (11-16) divides the heat transferring part into two similar parts.
