  • Patent number: 4784260
Abstract: An article carrier is specifically designed for carrying motor oil containers, the article carrier provided with loops which are releasably secured to the upper ends of the containers, webbing which interconnects the loops, and an elongated, generally tubular nozzle or spout extends intermediately between the containers and the loops to serve as a handle portion for the carrier; and the nozzle can be separated from the carrier and attached to the container for the purpose of pouring the contents of the container through a fill opening in the engine of the car. Modified forms of article carriers are included for supporting different numbers and types of containers as well as other accessories, such as, an oil filter as a part of an oil change kit.

  • Patent number: 4479520
Abstract: A coupler adaptor is provided for use in operative association with a container and a valve. The container houses relatively high pressurized carbon dioxide gas for use in carbonating a beverage. The valve is actuated in order to release the gas to an interface passage formed in the coupler adaptor. The coupler adaptor also has a pair of grooves formed on opposite sides of the interface passage for receiving O-rings. The coupler adaptor is also in operative association with a pressure regulator. The pressurized gas enters the pressure regulator from the coupler adaptor interface passage. In one embodiment, the coupler adaptor remains operatively joined to the pressure regulator without retaining structure due to the balanced gas pressure which results because of the O-rings positioned adjacent the coupler adaptor interface passage.

  • Patent number: 4363424
Abstract: A regulated gas pressurization system for a beverage dispenser which includes a pressure regulator, cylinder valve, and quick coupling apparatus provided for securely connecting the valve and regulator for safe operation. The regulator includes an adjustably biased diaphragm which operates a control valve which regulates the flow of gas from a gas storage cylinder to the beverage dispenser. The adjustment of the biasing force on the diaphragm determines the outlet pressure in the system. A pivotable yoke which is part of the coupling apparatus is placed in a raised position so that the cylinder shutoff valve can be properly aligned with the regulator boss and lowered to a retaining position where a retaining screw can be turned inwardly to move the cylinder valve into rigid coupling position with the regulator. Upon coupling, a poppet within the cylinder valve is opened automatically to allow gas to flow into the regulator.
