  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 11200151
Abstract: Testing for software applications can be implemented according to some aspects described herein. For example, a system can receive override data, including a location of a logical statement in source code and an override command, that is associated with a software application. The system can generate debugging data based on the override data, the debugging data including a breakpoint associated with the location and a debugger command corresponding to the override command. The system can then provide the debugging data as input to debugging software, the debugging software being configured to monitor execution of the software application during a software test. The debugging software can determine that the breakpoint has been reached and responsively execute the debugger command for testing a target portion of source code for the software application.

  • Patent number: 10851415
Abstract: Sepsis remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in neonates worldwide. There is also clinically a low threshold for suspicion of infection in neonates, in particular as presentation varies greatly from very subtle to catastrophic collapse. The lack of reliably sensitive tests and the potential life-threatening consequences of delayed treatment of infection results in the widespread use of empirical antibiotics exposing many infants without infection to broad-spectrum antibiotics. The present invention provides a series of patient-invariant biomarkers for screening neonates and other subjects for infection that predicts bacterial infection with high accuracy; and is further shown to have predictive value in identifying infection in suspected cases with blood-culture negative tests.

  • Publication number: 20180214430
Abstract: The present invention concerns compounds for use in the prevention of viral replication and/or the prevention or treatment of a viral infection, wherein the compounds are selective inhibitors of inducible nitric oxide synthase, and methods of preventing viral replication and/or preventing or treating viral infections in a subject comprising administering a prophylactically or therapeutically effective amount of the compounds.

  • Publication number: 20140283851
Abstract: The present invention relates to multi-layer products and methods utilising such products. Embodiments of the present invention have utility in the prevention and/or healing of wounds and skin disorders. More particularly, although not exclusively, the present invention relates to products and methods which have utility in the veterinary field. Embodiments of the present invention relate to products and methods which are for use in the prevention and/or healing of wounds and skin disorders in equines, namely, horses, ponies, donkeys and the like, particularly wounds and skin disorders which affect the limbs of such animals. Aspects of the present invention provide products and methods for supporting limb joints whilst allowing the joint to flex to enable movement.

  • Publication number: 20090220924
Abstract: A device for visually associating categorized product features, comprising: a base (10) having a generally flat surface, and keying arrangements (1000), a readable pattern (102) of categorized feature indicia (1021) in a zone (100) associated with the keying arrangements, a set of transparent sheets (20a, 20b, . . . ) respectively associated to a plurality of products, each sheet having a keying arrangements (2000) complementary to those of the base, so that it can be placed over the readable pattern only in a given orientation, and each transparent sheet including a specific arrangement of semi-transparent zones (201a, 202a, . . . ; 201b, 202b, . . . ) adapted to register with product feature indicia (1021), whereby at least two transparent sheets corresponding to different products can be superimposed and their feature indicia visually highlighted by being seen through their respective semi-transparent zones.
