  • Publication number: 20230165558
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for segmenting heart sounds. In one example, a method includes receiving a phonocardiogram (PCG) signal of a patient, processing the PCG signal to detect a plurality of candidate sounds in the PCG signal, extracting, for each candidate sound, one or more features from the processed PCG signal, entering the one or more extracted features as input to a segmentation model trained to label each candidate sound as an S1 sound, an S2 sound, or neither, receiving output from the segmentation model, and displaying and/or storing the output from the segmentation model.

  • Publication number: 20210174966
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for supporting glucoregulatory management decisions using a decision support recommender to predict an occurrence of a hypoglycemic event in an incognizant living subject. Glucose management data is obtained from a living subject. It is processed as prescribed by a feature extractor to generate a set of glucoregulatory feature values. The glucoregulatory feature values are applied as prescribed by the feature extractor to a hypoglycemia prediction model. The hypoglycemia prediction model is formulated to predict the occurrence of a hypoglycemic event during a period of incognizance of the living subject. A glucoregulatory management recommendation is generated as prescribed by the decision support recommender if the hypoglycemia prediction model predicts the occurrence of a hypoglycemic event during the period of incognizance.

  • Publication number: 20160314567
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for image recoloring and color standardization. The invention relates, in part, to standardization of digitized whole-slide histopathology images and digitized images of tissue microarrays (TMA). Various aspects of the invention are directed to the detection of color feature points from 3D histogram of a reference image (considered a well-stained image) and the region-based transference of color statistics between a reference image and a target image (image to be standardize). Another aspect of the present invention is an image/video colorfulness measure. A further aspect of the invention includes multimedia analytics application, including a retrieval application. Another aspect of the invention is directed to on-line viewing and recoloring of images, including but not limited to face and clothing.
