    Abstract: Illuminating means for balloons comprising a lightweight plastic cone insertable into the orifice of the balloon so as to prevent escape of gas from within the balloon and to prevent damage to illuminating means located within said cone, an electric light means mounted within said cone, said cone and light bulb being light enough to be lifted by a conventional lighter-than-air gas-filled elastic balloon, and means for supplying electrical energy to said light means.
