  • Patent number: 11900223
Abstract: A portable real-time system monitoring device is advantageously capable of autonomously learning the normal behavior of any system and of alerting the user or taking other action when the system becomes unpredictable or otherwise undesirable. No prior knowledge about the system is needed by the device. This is because the device uses a combination of machine learning and statistical process control to autonomously develop its own model of the monitored system and then autonomously monitor the system for unexpected behavior. Therefore, without any prior analysis or model creation, it can be deployed on any system, and it can be reused on any other system after it has been reset. The advantageous device of the disclosed and claimed concept performs this function in either real time or near real-time.

  • Patent number: 8719160
Abstract: Payment items are received and processed in the course of a financial transaction. For example, a paying bank may receive an electronic transmission corresponding to a imaged check from a depositing bank. The paying bank may attempt to identify a reason for return within the payment item. If a reason for return is found, a determination may be made that the payment item is a re-clear payment item that has been previously transmitted by the depositing bank and returned by the paying bank. After determining that a payment item is a re-clear, the item may be processed within the paying bank along an abbreviated processing path for faster and less costly item processing. For example, in systems in which duplicate detection is performed on payment items, re-clear items may be classified separately and need not undergo certain automated and/or manual duplicate detection processes.

  • Publication number: 20110127723
Abstract: A firearms marksman target stand comprising a rigid plastic pipe frame connected by plastic joints encompassing a solid foam board backing to hold sheet targets. Said foam board backing is connected to and away from frame sides and at the top and bottom by plastic cable ties forming the framed target mounting area. Two rigid plastic pipe legs are coupled to framed target mounting area by plastic tee joints, already utilized at the bottom corners of framed target area. The target stand is supported in an upright position by two galvanized spikes driven into the ground and fitted properly inside bottom ends of said rigid plastic pipe legs. This target stand is light weight compact and stands freely in an upright position presenting a framed target area to mount many various size targets, and is stored and transported with legs and spikes attached to sides of framed target area.

  • Publication number: 20100208976
Abstract: A method and system for enhanced check image privacy are disclosed. Embodiments of the present invention provide a way to automatically link the results from quality assurance software to a check image archive to appropriately mark images as unretrievable by customers. Images are interrogated with a data matching algorithm to determine whether a confidence score expressing a likelihood that the image matches associated, stored magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) data is below a pre-set threshold. The image can be then automatically designated in the financial document archive. The image can be displayed to an operator for analysis when the confidence score is above the pre-set threshold and below a pre-set limit, or in cases where the confidence score cannot be determined by the data matching algorithm.

  • Patent number: 7182091
Abstract: A hunting blind and method of use thereof, comprising a cylindrical mount having a tube disposed therethrough. The cylindrical mount attaches to a tree or other suitable object via straps, bungee cords and/or a hook. The tube comprises angled holes into which support tubes supporting screen panels are inserted. The support tubes are sectioned so as to enable disassembly for packing into a compact arrangement by rolling up same within the screen panels. The screen panels have extensions that can be secured together via cords. Alternate embodiments are directed to the addition of a mesh panel above the screen panels and extensions; a ground-based stand, wherein the screen panels and extension are secured to the ground via tent stakes; and a wheelchair stand, wherein a framework on the wheelchair carries the support tubes, panels and extensions of the preferred embodiment.

  • Patent number: 6276330
Abstract: An air/fuel mixture induction system for an internal combustion engine having a pair of intake valves, an intake air/fuel mixture flow passage communicating with each valve, a primary mask surrounding a portion of the perimeter of one of the intake valves, the air/fuel mixture being directed from the intake valve over the remaining peripheral portion thereof, thereby establishing a swirl motion in the combustion chamber, a secondary bridge mask partially surrounding the other of the pair of intake valves, the secondary bridge mask having an air/fuel mixture flow controlling surface that directs the swirl motion of the air/fuel mixture in the direction of the axis of the cylinder whereby swirl motion progresses in the direction of the axis of the cylinder throughout the combustion chamber.
