Abstract: A combination urinal/toilet flusher and grabber assembly includes a first resilient U-shaped main body having spaced apart side walls connected by a top wall such that an object can be grasped by compression of outer surfaces of the side walls toward each other. A first hollow member extends from one end of the main body for receiving a urinal/toilet flusher handle. A first tongue extends from an opposite end of the main body and has an opening for receiving a flusher handle. An inner member includes a second resilient main body having spaced apart wings connected together by a top wall, and a second hollow member extending from one end thereof and removably fit within the first hollow member for receiving a flusher handle such that the wings can grasp an object when the side walls are compressed toward each other.

Abstract: An apparatus operable to record a spatially low-frequency heterodyne hologram including spatially heterodyne fringes for Fourier analysis includes: a laser; a beamsplitter optically coupled to the laser; an object optically coupled to the beamsplitter: a focusing lens optically coupled to both the beamsplitter and the object; a digital recorder optically coupled to the focusing lens; and a computer that performs a Fourier transform, applies a digital filter, and performs an inverse Fourier transform.

Abstract: Systems and methods for shearless digital hologram acquisition, including an apparatus incorporating an illumination source configured to produce a first beam of light, which is then split by a beamsplitter into a reference beam and an object illumination beam. The reference beam is directed onto a phase-shaping optical element which imparts a phase shift to the reference beam and returns the phase-shifted reference beam on itself to the beamsplitter. The object illumination beam is directed onto an object, and a portion of the beam is reflected back to the beamsplitter, which combines the phase-shifted reference beam and object illumination beam substantially coaxially. The combined beams are passed through a focusing lens which focuses them at a focal plane. A digital recorder is positioned at the focal plane to record the spatially heterodyne hologram formed by the focused phase-shifted reference beam and reflected object illumination beam.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for reticle particle calibration standards. A method includes making a reticle particle calibration standard including depositing a solution that includes a plurality of particles onto a first plate; drying the solution to evaporate a solvent; bonding the plurality of particles to the first plate; coupling a second plate to the first plate, the plurality of particles located between the first plate and the second plate, wherein the plurality of particles include a plurality of traceable standard particles of substantially known shape and size.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for large substrate flat panel inspection systems. A method includes inspecting an object using a machine that includes an imaging device having an electronic shutter: scanning the imaging device across a surface of the object between a first location and a second location; strobing at least one light emitting diode to illuminate the object between the first location and the second location; and synchronizing operation of the electronic shutter with the strobed at least one light emitting diode, wherein i) strobing the at least one light emitting diode includes firing the at least one light emitting diode using at least one index mark located on the machine and ii) scanning includes continuously moving the imaging device between the first location and the second location.

Abstract: A combination neck wrap/brace for holding items and belt article holder for carrying the same, includes a neck wrap/brace having a neck strap to be wrapped about a neck of a person. A first securing arrangement secures together opposite ends of the neck strap about the person's neck. A telephone holder is secured to the neck strap for holding a telephone adjacent the person's ear, to enable the person to use the telephone in a hands-free manner. A belt article holder includes a belt strap adapted to be wrapped about the person's waist. A second securing arrangement secures together opposite ends of the belt strap about the person's waist, and a neck wrap/brace holder on the strap holds the neck wrap/brace when the neck wrap/brace is not wrapped about the person's neck.

Abstract: An umbrella and article holder includes an umbrella having a shaft, a handle connected to one end of the shaft, and a fabric covering connected to an opposite end of the shaft and adapted to open up to provide a protective covering against rain, snow and sleet; at least one article holder connected with the handle of the umbrella for holding at least one article when the umbrella is held in an upright configuration; and a leg securing strap for securing the umbrella to a leg of a person such that the umbrella remains in the upright configuration whether the person is sitting or standing.

Abstract: A holder for a closed umbrella having an umbrella embracing member and a shoulder encircling strap. The umbrella embracing member is a flat member which encircles the umbrella and is suspended from the strap in such a way that the umbrella is held substantially vertically and in the vicinity of the wearer's shoulder blade.

Abstract: An electric floor scrubber and buffer having its scrubber or buffer pad attached to the underside of an oscillating plate. A motor drive is provided for oscillating the plate which is disposed between flexible spacers extending between the plate and a stationary plate. The spacers serve to enhance the action of the oscillator plate and its underpad in performing their buffing or scrubbing functions.
