Abstract: A treadle cart, having two axles, each axle having one of two pairs of wheels mounted on it, the treadle cart being powered by the pivoting motion of a treadle board which transfers the power from the pivoting of the treadle board through a drive means including a flexible elongated member with two ends that is attached to the under side of treadle board, each of the drive means rotating a power wheel which through a drive train turns a clutch housing, each clutch housing having a clutch rotor mounted in it, each of the pair of clutch rotors alternating in transmitting power to the base wheels of the treadle cart.
