Patent number: 11933179Abstract: An extraction well system is disclosed that allows for isolation of electrical cables from underground mine atmosphere. The extraction well system provides for a well casing that extends downwardly proximate to an existing mine cavity and an extension casing that extends downwardly below the mine roof. In one embodiment the extension casing is external to the well casing and is attached to the well casing mechanically such as with a dual thread reducer. The extension runs from above the mine roof to below the mine floor and is perforated in the area of the mine cavity to allow liquid to drain into the bottom of the extension well. In a second embodiment, the extension casing is interior to the well casing and is attached for example by an internal liner hanger. In this embodiment, the extension casing runs from above the mine roof to below the desired minimum liquid level and it is the well casing that extends downwardly in the extension well and which is perforated to allow liquids to flow into the well.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2022Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: GENESIS ALKALI WYOMING, LPInventors: Adam Clark Anderson, Aaron P. Patent number: 8875658Abstract: An edible animal food projectile is provided. The projectile is compatible for being launched from a launching apparatus such as a toy gun or the like. The projectile includes an edible body made from a starch-based material consisting essentially of an expanded starch. The edible body is formed into a predefined geometry operable to receive a launching force causing temporary flight of the projectile and having a first density. A payload is embedded on or within the edible body and the payload is formed from a material having a second density greater than the first density of the edible body. The payload can be food, medicine, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2011Date of Patent: November 4, 2014Assignee: A.J. Boggs & CompanyInventors: J. Publication number: 20070256659Abstract: A throttle linkage for a vehicle engine is provided comprising a vehicle engine and a throttle actuation arm secured for pivotal movement about an axis substantially fixed relative to the engine, the throttle actuation arm having an axis extending from the pivotal axis. A throttle control arm extending from the engine and capable of actuation to adjust engine power is also provided, the throttle arm having an axis extending from a point of connection to the throttle and substantially intersecting the throttle actuation arm axis, along with a coupling for engaging the throttle control arm and throttle actuation arm at approximately the point of intersection of their respective axes, the coupling allowing sliding of the arms along their respective axes, relative to each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2006Publication date: November 8, 2007Applicant: TraxxasInventors: Clark Anderson, Brent Byers, Jon Lampert

Patent number: 6578107Abstract: A method for prefetching data for a cache memory from a mass-storage device having a controller that executes a plurality of reordered commands. The method includes predetermining an extra time interval for each of the plurality of reordered commands. Next, prior to executing the next reordered command, data located subsequent to data requested from a committed command is prefetched utilizing the predetermined extra time interval of the next command. In a related embodiment, the method includes executing a command reordering algorithm during which the seek and latency time periods of each of the plurality of reordered commands is computed.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2000Date of Patent: June 10, 2003Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Clark Anderson, David Robison Hall, Alice Louise Kub, Louise Ann Marier

Patent number: 6020313Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inducing bone formation via administration of an extract of devitalized, freeze dried Saos-2 cells. The extract is prepared by contacting the freeze dried Saos-2 cells, which are devitalized in the act of freeze drying, with a weak denaturing agent of the type used to separate proteins from cells. The extract does have properties superior to comparable treatment using whole Saos-2 cells. The extract is then further treated by applying it to a removing separating gel, and then fractions from the gel which have a molecular weight of from about 10 kd to about 60 kd. Also described are the extract itself, and formulations containing it.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1993Date of Patent: February 1, 2000Assignee: University of KansasInventors: H. Patent number: 6008197Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inducing bone formation via administration of an extract of devitalized, freeze dried Saos-2 cells. The extract is prepared by contacting the freeze dried Saos-2 cells, which are devitalized in the act of freeze drying, with a weak denaturing agent of the type used to separate proteins from cells. It is not clear that the active ingredient in the extract is a protein; however, the extract does have properties superior to comparable treatment using whole Saos-2 cells. Also, described are the extracts themselves and various compositions containing it.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 1991Date of Patent: December 28, 1999Assignee: University of KansasInventor: H. Patent number: 5035901Abstract: Human osteosarcoma Saos-2 cell extracts as for example in the form of a killed-cell, defatted cell residue are found to retain bone inducing-agent(s) after freeze-drying. Pellets of this material were found to promote new bone formation. This material is useful therefore for healing bone defects, bone tumors, bone fractures and in promoting bone graft assimilation.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1987Date of Patent: July 30, 1991Assignee: University of KansasInventors: H.
