  • Publication number: 20190314581
Abstract: A medication delivery device is equipped with a sensing system to determine the amount of a dose set and/or delivered by operation of the device. Such amount is determined based on the sensing of relative rotational and/or axial movements during dose setting or delivery between members of the medication delivery device, where the sensed movements are correlated as applicable to the amount of the dose set. The device includes one or more wiper assemblies coupled to one or more rotatable device members. Sensing bands are coupled to another device member, and arranged in contacting relationship with wipers. During relative rotation and/or axial movement between the device members, each sensing band is operable to generate an output associated with the relative angular and/or linear position of the wiper along an operational angular length of the sensing bands indicative of relative rotational positions of the device members.

  • Patent number: 10327748
Abstract: A delicate tissue retraction system having a retractor, an introducer and a clamp mechanism. The retractor has a hollow retractor passage and the introducer has an introducer channel extending from a proximal introducer end to a distal introducer end. The introducer is configured to be removably installed within the retractor. The clamp mechanism is on the introducer and includes a probe shaft receptacle suspended inwardly from the introducer wall to form one or more open spaces between the introducer wall and the probe shaft receptacle. The probe shaft receptacle has a clamp passage that is axially aligned with the introducer channel and dimensioned to receive the shaft of a navigation probe therethrough. The probe shaft receptacle has a clamp configured to selectively reduce a size of at least a first portion of the clamp passage to selectively hold the probe shaft at a fixed position relative to the introducer.

  • Publication number: 20110220302
Abstract: A pet door having decorative and customizable aesthetic features. The pet door includes subframe assemblies that are connected to each other with fasteners that extend through the aperture defined by the door. Thus, the subframe assemblies are fixed to the door, but it is not necessary to drill or form holes in the door in order to install the pet door. The pet door can be adapted to fit doors of various sizes with a modular core frame. The core frame includes a plurality of core members, each of which has one or more core elements. The core members extend laterally between the first and second subframe assemblies and defining a passageway through the door. Decorative frames are releasably attached to the subframe assemblies and can be removed or replaced, whereas the subframe assemblies remain fixed to each other and the door. Decorative frames allow owners to customize pet doors to taste or to match interior and exterior decors.

Abstract: An adjustable pet door having decorative and customizable aesthetic features. The pet door includes subframe assemblies that are connected to each other with fasteners that extend through an aperture defined by a door. The pet door can be adjusted to fit doors of various sizes by varying the number of module core frames disposed between the subframe assemblies. The core frames extend laterally between the subframe assemblies and define a passageway through the door. Decorative frames are releasably attached to the subframe assemblies and can be removed or replaced without having to remove the subframe assemblies from the door. A security panel can be secured to one of the subframe assemblies to prevent animals and intruders from entering a residence through the pet door.

  • Patent number: 4116439
Abstract: A transparent game ball particularly useful as a billiard or pool ball is disclosed, along with manufacturing processes and apparatus for producing the ball. The ball includes a weighted opaque object centered within the transparent spherical outer covering of the ball for providing the required weight for the ball as well as a desirable appearance. The transparent portion of the ball is produced bubble free of polyester resin through the use of a special, two-piece mold for forming the entire ball at one time. Into this two-piece mold a centering spider or disk of the same rigid polyester resin is inserted. The spider or disk may be either transparent or opaque, and is used to precisely center the opaque weighted object at the ball's geometric center.
