  • Publication number: 20240342436
Abstract: Disclosed is an interlock assembly for a catheter with features that provide an improved connection between a marker band and microfabricated tube. The microfabricated tube features radial apertures that reduce the outer diameter of the distal region of the catheter, allow the catheter to fit into smaller size vessels, and permit an outer laminate to flow into the apertures while still having a large structural shape to interlock with the marker band.

  • Publication number: 20240206629
Abstract: A modular bed allows users to reconfigure the bed to suit different room requirements and to suit different users. A bed leg may be attached to a bed rail with a dovetail tenon and socket to allow the bed leg to be removed if desired or to change length of style of the leg. The leg joint provides a highly stable and secure joint. A rail bracket may be used to attach bed rails to bed posts in different locations and in different configurations to allow the same bed components to form part of a floor bed, a conventional bed, a loft bed, or a bunk bed. The bed provides improved strength and stability.

  • Patent number: 11578739
Abstract: A joint for furniture uses alternating tabs and slots formed along an edge of first and second furniture panels. The panels are joined together so that tabs in the first panel are disposed in slots in the second panel and tabs in the second panel are disposed in slots in the first panel. This arrangement causes the slots to flex outwardly and the tabs to flex inwardly once assembled and creates residual stress in the assembled joint which stiffens the joint.

  • Patent number: 11085474
Abstract: An improved joint is provided for modular furniture. The joint includes a dowel and slot. The dowel is held in the slot tightly to provide stiffness to the joint. The dowel may include a flanged head which is bent elastically by the slot when the dowel is fully inserted into the slot. The head of the dowel may be maintained in a bent configuration when the joint is in assembled configuration.

  • Patent number: 10687617
Abstract: A modular shelving system includes a wall panel with slots and shelf brackets with tabs which attach to the wall panel slots. The tabs have upwardly sloping surfaces which engage sloped surfaces on the back side of the slots. These mating surfaces better retain the tabs into the slots and provide a higher degree of strength in the tab and slot joint. This allows the shelving system to be made with smaller tabs and thinner material than previously possible; providing a more secure and visually appealing shelving system.

  • Patent number: 10052749
Abstract: A drive train for supplying power to a power tool may include, a motor, a motor shaft, a rotational coupling mechanism connected to the motor shaft, and a drive shaft connected to the rotational coupling mechanism that forms the shape of a “U.” A pair of enmeshed bevel gears transfers the motion from the motor shaft to an orthogonal tool bit. The drive train may also include a hammering device that transfers a rotational impacting motion to the tool bit. A hand power tool for driving a screw may include a tool shell with an integrally formed vertical handle, a rotational recess formed into the tool shell opposite the handle, and a tool chuck within the rotational recess that drives a screw. The tool may incorporate the drive train as described above. The tool may include a mechanism for locking the tool chuck in a particular position.

  • Publication number: 20180187825
Abstract: A counterbalance mechanism which applies a balancing force to lift a load. The counterbalance mechanism includes an adjustment arm pivotally attached at first end to a frame and to a spring at a second end. The counterbalance mechanism further includes a travelling arm pivotally attached at a first end to the frame and connected to the spring at a second end. The counterbalance mechanism further includes one or more cables attached at one end to a container securing a load or arms securing the container. A second end of the one or more cables are attached to the travelling member or pass over a pulley attached to the travelling arm. The one or more cables transmit an assisting force to the container for lowering and raising the container. A relative position of the spring, adjustment arm, and travelling arm are adjusted in response to the load acting on the one or more cables to generally offset the load in the container.

  • Patent number: 9903526
Abstract: A force engine operable to counterbalance a load. The force engine includes one or more energy reservoirs operable to store energy. The one or more energy reservoirs are operable to generate a force to balance the load through the displacement in an operating mode. A traveling member is hingedly connected to the one or more energy reservoirs. The force generated by the one or more energy reservoirs is transferred to the load through the traveling member and an associated linkage. A variable member is coupled to the one or more energy reservoirs. In the adjusting mode the variable member is displaced to configure an operating relationship between the one or more energy reservoirs and the traveling member. A release interacts with the variable member to fix a position of the variable member.
