  • Patent number: 6870544
Abstract: A system and method for calculating harmonizing colors based on a reference color. In a first embodiment, the invention includes (a) defining a reference color in a uniform color space, (b) converting the hue of the reference color from the uniform color space to an artists color wheel, (c) determining harmonizing colors for the reference color within the artists color wheel, (d) converting the hues of the harmonizing colors from the artists color wheel to the uniform color space, and (e) displaying the harmonizing color information. In a second embodiment, a brown region is defined for colors having red/orange/yellow hues and low chroma values. Additional harmonizing colors are determined when either the reference color or one of the harmonizing colors falls within the brown region.

  • Patent number: 4847603
Abstract: A display system and method, especially for use in an aircraft head up display system, for maintaining an optical image in a predetermined position on a light emitting screen. The system has a beam type image generator controlled by an operating circuit. A controlled beam scans both a central display region and marginal regions of the screen. The marginal regions have beam sensors and the beam is controlled by a sequence of plural coordinate commands in accordance with a plural coordinate search pattern restricted to the marginal regions and in the vicinity of the beam sensors. Signals resulting therefrom are utilized to eliminate beam deflection errors.

  • Patent number: 4812713
Abstract: Reference beam deflection command values are assigned to respective pinholes at two diametrically opposite corners of a cathode ray screen. The pinholes sense actual beam position by transmitting light via respective fiberoptic cables to a detector arrangement remote from the electrostatic fields at the screen. Command values corresponding to actual beam alignment with the pinholes are determined and compared to the preselected reference beam deflection values, to produce corrections required to compensate for image scaling and/or center drift errors. With stroke type image generation, special beam search patterns are generated in the vicinity of the pinholes to activate the detector arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4783755
Abstract: An interval timer circuit includes an RC circuit selectively coupled to a reference voltage source such that when power is removed, the capacitor discharges in a predictable manner to provide a time dependent but power supply independent voltage across the capacitor which can be employed to determine the downtime of electrical equipment or machinery.
