  • Patent number: 11730267
Abstract: A linkage for use in reclining furniture may include a back bracket supported by forward and rear back pivot links. The bottom of the rear back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to a rear lift link and the bottom of the forward back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to the rear lift link in a different location. A control link may be pivotably coupled on one end to one of the forward back pivot link and the rear back pivot link. The control link may pull the pivoting linkage of the back bracket and the forward and back pivot links as the overall linkage is moved from a closed to a TV to a full-recline position. The resulting pivot point for the back is projected upwardly and forwardly, to a point where an upholstered back and seat meet on a finished chair.

  • Patent number: 11252970
Abstract: The present invention relates to apparatus and methods for assembling food products. More particularly, the invention relates to apparatus and methods for associating foodstuff and liquid with a base. Foodstuff may include food items such as meats, vegetables, cheeses, amongst others. Liquids include those food items that have a low viscosities (e.g. sauces, dressings, oils), high viscosities (e.g. peanut butter, frosting), and anything in between. A base can be anything on which foodstuff or liquid may be associated (e.g. bread, cake, cookies, pizza dough, a bowl in which to place foodstuff).

  • Patent number: 11088666
Abstract: An operational amplifier with totem pole connected output transistors having inputs coupled to multiplexers for selectable coupling of signals and voltage levels thereto. The high and low output transistors may be forced hard on or hard off in addition to normal coupling of signals thereto. The operation of the output transistors may be dynamically changed to pass only positive going signals, negative going signals, placed in a tristate high impedance state, hard connected to a supply voltage and/or hard connected to supply common return. A core independent peripheral (CIP) may also be coupled to the operational amplifier for dynamically changing the multiplexer inputs in real time, as can external control signals to a control circuit coupled to the multiplexers.

  • Patent number: 10420422
Abstract: A linkage mechanism for a reclining seating unit that provides increased back support, reduces shirt pull and decreases minimum wall clearance. The linkage mechanism may include a seat mounting plate indirectly coupled to a back bracket where the back bracket pivots around a projected pivot point located forwardly and upwardly from the back bracket when the seating unit is closed. The linkage mechanism may include an intermediate link pivotally connected to the seat mounting plate and the back bracket, a back pivot link pivotally connected to the back bracket and a rear lift link, the rear lift link pivotally connected to the seat mounting plate, and a control link pivotally connected to the back pivot link and the seat mounting plate. Forward movement of the back bracket relative to the seat mounting plate as the seating unit reclines reduces the wall clearance needed behind the seating unit below 4.5 inches.

  • Patent number: 9609955
Abstract: A bed assembly and method of use for connecting a foldable bed frame to the back support of a sofa. The assembly includes a first slotted link attached to the back support and a double slotted link affixed to the foldable bed frame. An L-shaped adjustment link defining a plurality of apertures is slidably connected to the slotted link and pivotably connected to the double slotted link whereby folding the bed frame causes the back support to displace along the first slotted link. Depending on whether the foldable bed frame is being removed from or inserted into the storage cavity within the sofa, the displacement of the back support along the slotted link causes the space between the bed frame and the back support to change.

  • Patent number: 9351576
Abstract: A mechanism is provided that allows an assisting force to be imparted on an ottoman as the ottoman moves from an extended position back to a closed position. The linkage includes a rotatable lock bracket and an ottoman lock link pivotally coupled to the lock bracket. A rear ottoman link is pivotally coupled to an ottoman linkage, and a spring activation link is pivotally coupled to the ottoman lock link. A spring extends between the lock bracket and the first end of the spring activation link, supported by a spring retaining link. A catch finger positioned on the rear ottoman link selectively engages the second end of the spring activation link. The spring activation link operates to extend the spring as the ottoman moves from an extended position to a closed position, thereby providing an assisting force in moving the mechanism to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 9015879
Abstract: A foldable sofa mattress and method for storing within low profile furniture. The mattress includes a transition section disposed between different collapsible sinuous spring sections. The sinuous spring sections are pivotably joined to the transition section and the sections are affixed to upper and lower grids for support. A method for storing a foldable mattress includes the steps of providing a mattress with a transition section disposed between two collapsible sections, extending opposing pairs of straps from the transition section to each of the separate collapsible sections, and bending the mattress. The method further includes the steps of flattening the two collapsible sections, placing the flattened sections on top of one another, and storing the folded mattress in a cavity.
