  • Publication number: 20240305502
Abstract: As a part of a networking system, a Smart Network Interface Card (NIC)/Data Processing Unit (DPU) translation agent can be implemented by a device within a Smart NIC/DPU. The Smart NIC/DPU translation agent translates operation requests associated with a vendor-neutral API method into a vendor-specific API method, e.g., to communicate with vendor-specific firmware. The agent comprises an orchestration unit for detecting an operation request from an external entity having vendor-neutral API; and translating the operation request based upon a fabric data model; a configuration service unit for generating management commands based on the modified operation request; and a proxy service unit for receiving and translating the configuration commands to communicate with vendor-specific firmware using the vendor-specific API method.

  • Patent number: 10867822
Abstract: An apparatus including a base, a drive device disposed on the base, a sensor unit disposed on the base, and an engagement device. The drive device having an output shaft with a wafer receiving surface, and the drive device being configured to rotate the output shaft about an axis of rotation. The sensor unit being configured to sense a wafer received on the wafer receiving surface. The engagement device being configured to engage and disengage a translational mechanism between the drive device and the sensor unit. When the engagement device engages the translational mechanism, rotation of the output shaft about the axis of rotation by the drive device changes a relative positional relationship between the sensor unit and the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 10753817
Abstract: A testing apparatus for minimizing runout of a rotating assembly includes a measurement device and a runout evaluator. The measurement device measures a distance to a surface. The runout evaluator obtains a first runout of a surface of a first member of the rotating assembly from the measurement device. The first runout has a magnitude and a phase. The runout evaluator obtains a second runout of a surface of a second member of the rotating assembly from the measurement device. The second runout has a magnitude and a phase. The runout evaluator determines a rotational position of the first member relative to the second member which results in a reduced runout of the rotating assembly. The determination of the rotational position is based on the magnitude and the phase of the first runout and the magnitude and the phase of the second runout.

  • Publication number: 20130015652
Abstract: An exhaust connection coupler is provided having a flexible conduit portion, a cover made of a generally porous and flexible knitted metallic wire mesh material surrounding the conduit portion and a retainer for combining end parts of the conduit portion and cover. The cover may be constructed of a series of stockinette stitches formed in a continuous round-and-round manner in a seamless tubular configuration. The cover can be selected from a group of covers designed to be applied to the coupler, the particular cover being chosen for its weight or stiffness so as to selectively control the natural frequency of the coupler. Additionally, the loosely knitted configuration of the cover is designed to provide resistance limiting longitudinal growth of the coupler while enabling compression and angular flexibility. Further, the coupler may include one or more spacers for providing separation between the cover and the conduit portion.

  • Publication number: 20040016093
Abstract: A self-supporting package of strand is disclosed. The disclosed method of manufacturing a package of strand is directed to the bulk collection of the strand. The disclosed strand collection system includes an attenuator that attenuates filaments from a bushing. The attenuator includes a pair of belts between which the strand is pinched to pull the filaments from the bushing. The attenuator directs the strand to a deflector assembly that slows down and imparts a degree of movement to the strand. The deflector assembly includes primary and secondary deflector surfaces which the strand engages. After the strand deflects off the secondary deflector surface, it is directed into a container assembly. The attenuator and deflector assembly traverse above the container assembly to deposit the strand. The container assembly is periodically vibrated by a vibrating mechanism as it collects strand. The vibrations settle and shift the strand in the container assembly for better strand distribution.

  • Publication number: 20030070849
Abstract: An auxiliary cooling, heating and electrical power unit for vehicles with large capacity internal combustion engines. The unit includes a small capacity auxiliary engine driving an auxiliary coolant pump, alternator and refrigerant compressor, a separate air conditioning unit and an auxiliary battery. A heat exchanger attached to the auxiliary engine transfers heat from the exhaust gases to coolant circulating through the heat exchanger. The coolant pump circulates the heated coolant through the main heater core and the main engine before returning to the heat exchanger. The refrigerant compressor provides refrigerant to the auxiliary air conditioning unit. The auxiliary alternator provides electrical power to the auxiliary battery, the main battery and other electrical equipment. An interlock prevents the simultaneous operation of the auxiliary engine and the main engine.

  • Patent number: 6425545
Abstract: An apparatus for forming multiple packages on a single collet includes a pair of collets that are mounted on a rotatable turret. A moving strand is provided and the collet is rotated to wind the strand and build a first package on one end of the collet. The strand is reciprocated with a strand reciprocator to lay the strand on the package surface as the package rotates. After the first package is built, a strand positioner and a secondary shoe assist in transferring the strand to build a second package on the collet. After the second package is built, the turret is rotated while the cam moves away from the collet and turret. The strand breaks off after a few revolutions of the second collet. Then, the cam moves toward the second collet to begin building a first package on the second collet.

  • Patent number: 6349896
Abstract: A collet is rotated to wind a strand and build a package. The strand is reciprocated with a strand reciprocator having a strand guide to lay the strand in a pattern on the package surface as the package rotates. As the package builds, the diameter of the package increases. A method includes a startup procedure for selecting a desired rotational speed or torque of the collet prior to building the package. As the package builds, the torque on the collet is monitored and kept within upper and lower operating curves to control the package density. The method can also monitor the torque of the cam and/or receder to control the force exerted by the strand guide on the package.

  • Patent number: 5901811
Abstract: A lubricant reserve system (10) includes a reservoir tank (18) coupled to an accumulator T fitting (22). Additionally, coupled to the accumulator T fitting (22) is an accumulator pressure monitoring system (24) and an electronically-actuated valve (28). The reservoir tank (18) is adapted to hold a quantity of lubricant and a volume of gas having a gas pressure. The valve (28) opens in response to a control signal generated prior to ignition of an internal combustion engine (12) to prime the engine and closes when the engine (12) is disabled. The accumulator pressure monitoring system (24) is adapted to provide an indication of sufficient priming of the engine (12) prior to ignition of the engine (12). System (10) discharges lubricant (38) from the reservoir tank (18) while the engine (12) is running when the gas pressure is greater than a lubricant pressure of the engine lubrication system (13).
