  • Publication number: 20200056823
Abstract: A device used for the transformation of large volumes of sterile saline into icy slush in a chilled environment is provided. The sterile saline is provided in commercially available containers and the device has a movable assembly with a plurality of compartments, each sized and configured to receive one or more containers of sterile saline. The movable assembly is operable between an unactuated state and an actuated state so as to agitate the sterile saline in the containers during its transformation into slush. The partitions of the compartments are spaced away from one another to allow movement of the containers in their respective compartments. A method for transforming sterile saline into icy slush for medical, laboratory and surgical applications is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20040143746
Abstract: A software license compliance system and method limits multiple access to a software program. License compliance software is associated with the software program which selectively prevents access to that software program. Each time a user accesses the software program the license compliance software accesses a remotely located database by means of a computer network or other connection to obtain a current unique validation code unique to that specific copy of the software program. If the code received from the database matches a current unique validation code stored in association with the software license compliance software on the user's computer the license compliance software permits the user to access and use the software program. A new unique validation code is generated and stored in the remotely located database as well in association with the license compliance software which replaces the current unique validation code which no longer functions to provide user access to the software program.

  • Patent number: 6365253
Abstract: A continuous thermoplastic wire is heated and fed into a coil forming apparatus having a rotative drum holding an injection nozzle so that it registers with and be linked in a common rotative movement to a threaded mandrel also supported by the drum. The wire discharged by the nozzle slidably engages the threads of the mandrel into a helical pattern, the mandrel being radially and coaxially surrounded by a cooled sleeve. The wire will thus solidify along the helical thread of the mandrel, to form a continuous plastic coil being discharged at the downstream extremity of the mandrel and sleeve assembly. Due to the fact that the drum, mandrel and nozzle all rotate in a common rotative movement, it is possible to select the direction and speed of rotation of the three last-mentioned elements so that the coil being discharged have an ouput discharge translational speed, while being exempt of any absolute rotational movement about its longitudinal axis.
