  • Patent number: 9193872
Abstract: Photo-crosslinkable antifouling compositions, in particular antibacterial, antifungal and anti-algae ones, which include the combination of at least one telechelic oligoisoprene of a particular formula with an agent for crosslinking the oligoisoprene. The antifouling film is obtained by applying a thin layer of such a liquid composition on a substrate and is crosslinked at room temperature by exposure to visible and/or UV radiations. The film can be used for preventing the occurrence of a biofilm on any surface in a humid or aqueous environment, and can be used as an additive for preparing materials with a view to imparting bacteriostatic and/or bactericidal properties thereto.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 8, 2009
Date of Patent: November 24, 2015
Assignees: CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE (CNRS), UNIVERSITE DU MAINE
Inventors: Claude Bunel, Irene Campistron, Claire Hellio, Rachid Jellali, Albert Laguerre, Jean-Luc Mouget, Jean-Francois Pilard

  • Patent number: 7534924
Abstract: A hydrocarbon mixture containing modified polycyclic aromatic compounds or modified PAC having a chemical structure of mean molecular weight ranging between 300 and 10,000, the chemical structure being represented by formula (I): (A)x(PAC)y, wherein x and y are integers corresponding to the numbers of A or PAC units, selected such that x/y is equal to at least 1, preferably ranging between 1 and 50 and wherein A is a unit corresponding to a polymerizable monomer containing between 2 and 60 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 6793995
Abstract: A structure comprising one or more layers of a polymer (A) comprising: the units (A1) and the units (A2) wherein the A2/(A1+A2) molar ratio is between 0 and 30%, is suitable as a barrier against oxygen permeation under high relative humidity. The structure is, thus, useful as packaging and as hollow bodies, such as pipes, bottles and containers.
