    Abstract: A device for measuring radioactive contamination of a body includes a scintillator crystal (1) sensitive to gamma radiation emitted during disintegration of the radioactive elements (I, Cs, Co) contaminating a body to which the end of scintillator (1) is applied. A photodiode (2) converts the photons generated in scintillator (1) by the gamma radiation into electric charges. A mechanism (3, 7) converts these charges into amplified, frequency-filtered voltage pulses. Pulse counts in a plurality of bands and deconvolution effected by an electronic mechanism (8) built into the device allow measurement of the contamination of the body by each of the radioactive elements in question.

    Abstract: Process for the production of thin film Hall effect transducers of the type comprising semiconductor elements recrystallized in situ after deposition by a remelting of the semiconductor material, characterized by the following successive stages:the active elements of a transducer are cut in the form of narrow strips, the assembly is covered with a SiO.sub.2 insulating coating, this coating is covered with a conductive metal coating, the metal coating is etched so as to produce local heating resistors above the semiconductor strips, an electric current is passed into the heating resistors, the metal coating is removed from the heating resistors, followed by removal of the SiO.sub.2 coating in the non-recrystallized zones of the semiconductor.

    Abstract: A gas burner of the air and combustible gas mixture type includes a flame control cell mounted away from the actual flame. The control cell, by being located away from the actual flame, can monitor the operating conditions of the flame and, in response thereto, controls the flow of air and gas, the firing of the lighting electrode and the regulating of the gas intake valve. The control cell is further protected from the flame and any possible backfires by a pressure differential existing between the injected air and combustible gas mixture.

    Abstract: A gas burner associated with a combustion chamber constitutes a fluid-tight removable heating unit immersible in a liquid to be heated. The unit has a caisson including a chamber for premixing and distributing gaseous fuel and a combustion chamber separated from the premixing chamber by a flame stabilizing grate. The caisson has traversed, in fluid-tight relationship thereto, by ducts permitting thermosiphon circulation of the surrounding liquid and increasing the exchange surfaces constituted by the walls of the caisson.
