  • Patent number: 6926347
Abstract: A pickup truck with a cab-over-engine and a platform for goods and passenger transport is provided wherein the platform comprises at least one longitudinal drop-level lower loading plate, and adjacent to each lower loading plate, at least an upper loading plate, raised relative to the lower loading plate and parallel thereto, and wherein for each lower loading plate, a longitudinal flap is articulated on an upper loading plate adjacent to the lower loading plate and having a length not less than that of the lower loading plate, the flap being adapted to tilt between a folded position on the upper loading plate wherein it clears a volume located above the lower loading plate, and an unfolded position above the lower loading plate wherein it forms a plate with each upper loading plate adjacent thereto.

  • Publication number: 20040135335
Abstract: The invention concerns a truck tractor hitching device comprising at least a drive wheel (2g, 2d) suspended to a chassis (5) via an axle (9g, 9d), including means (22g, 22d, 20g, 20d, 24g, 24d) for directly linking the axle (9g, 9d) to at least a wheel at the central plate fitting (10) transmitting a longitudinal horizontal component of the drawbar pull and enabling the relative vertical displacements of said axle (9g, 9d) relative to the central plate fitting (10). The invention also concerns a truck tractor equipped with such a hitching device and is applicable in particular to light-chassis vehicles such as heavy tricycles or quadricycles.

  • Publication number: 20040119276
Abstract: The invention concerns a four-wheel road vehicle chassis comprising a planar platform (1) consisting of a sandwich structure, a front tubular framework (2), a rear tubular framework (3) and four linear dampers (52, 53) fixed rigidly stationary to the frameworks (2, 3). The invention also concerns a vehicle equipped with such a chassis, which can in particular be a heavy quadricycle.

  • Publication number: 20040094339
Abstract: The invention concerns a pickup truck with cab-over-engine and goods and passenger transport platform, whereof the platform comprises at least a lowered longitudinal loading plate (18), called lower loading plate, and adjacent to each of the lower loading plates (18), at least a so-called upper loading plate (19, 20), raised relative to said lower loading plate and parallel thereto. Said platform further includes, for each lower plate (18), a longitudinal flap (21) articulated on an upper plate (20) adjacent to said lower plate and having a length not less than that of the latter, said flap being adapted to tilt between a folded position on the upper plate (20) wherein it clears the volume located above the lower plate (18) and an unfolded position above said lower plate wherein it forms a plate with each upper plate (19, 20) adjacent thereto.

  • Patent number: 5630640
Abstract: The invention concerns a vehicle having a deflecting surface (6) attached to the vehicle in front of at least one front place (4, 5), which is concave with a concavity facing forwards, which extends overall at least essentially in the transverse direction of the said vehicle so as to receive a relative air current (10) when the vehicle is moving, and which has an upper trailing edge pointing upwards; and at least one wing (7) fixed in the relative air current (10) immediately upstream, facing and adjacent to the deflecting surface (6). The deflecting surface (6) and the wing(s) (7) extend below the lower horizontal plane (8) passing through the standard zone (11) in which the eyes are situated and are adapted to form an air flow (9) deflected upwards able to act as an air screen in front of the said standard zone (11) in which the eyes are situated in which the air is at least essentially still.

  • Patent number: 4388978
Abstract: A vehicle suspension system for the chassis of motorcycles and like vehicles comprising:(a) a support frame adapted to receive a wheel axle at the lower portion thereof, and being movably mounted with respect to the chassis both in the longitudinal median plane of the cycle as a result of movement of the suspension system as well as in rotation around an axis for steering;(b) upper and lower frames for controlling the position of the support frame in the longitudinal median support plane positioned between the chassis and the support frame;(c) a shock absorber positioned to elastically maintain the support frame with respect to the chassis in the longitudinal median plane whereby the wheel axle moves along a trajectory determined by the frames as a function of the forces being exerted on the cycle; and(d) an independent mechanical element connecting the support frame to handlebars, and being independent of the frames to allow control of the rotational position of the support frames around its axis.
