  • Patent number: 9957597
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing the surface of a substrate (100) for the purpose of accepting and holding a coating sprayed by a plasma torch. Said method includes a machining phase and is characterized that it includes the following phases: producing, by means of a machining tool (200), at least one groove having at least one angled edge; offsetting the tool (200) by moving the tool relative to the surface of the substrate (100) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the groove and along a path shorter than the projected length of the angled edge; and using said tool (200) on the angled edge of the groove such as to subject said edge to stress and create another offset groove, and so on and so forth, such that the tool (200) irreversibly changes the shape of the ribs (111, 112, 113, 114) finally obtained between each groove, and said ribs adopt undercut surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6877938
Abstract: The invention concerns a very high-speed machining machine-tool (M) consisting of a parallel structure including link bars (100) whereof one first end (110) is linked to a mobile member (200) supporting at least a tool and whereof the second end (120) is linked to at least means (300) setting it in motion relative to a frame (B). The said machine-tool is characterized in that the linkages (400) to the ends (100 [sic, should be 110. -Translation Editor) and 120) of the said bars (100) consist in an association of fictitious pivots (410, 420, 430) so as to form a joint whereof the degrees of freedom enable the parallel structure to be set in motion. The said feature enables to avoid all drawbacks related to ball linkages. The invention is applicable to high-speed machining.

  • Patent number: 6835033
Abstract: A device for using a parallel structure designed for positioning and displacing a mobile member including at least a fixed element and at least three actuators each including a fixed part and a mobile part, the mobile member including a support-sheath of a tool spindle. The device includes a balancing assembly which, enabling the support-sheath to move in rectilinear manner along axes X, Y and Z, maintains the support-sheath such that the weight of the support-sheath is not transferred to the parallel structure.

  • Patent number: 6758798
Abstract: A machining machine-tool having a fixed frame with a closed structure. The machining zone is delimited by the fixed frame internal surfaces and includes a machining head supporting the driving unit of a machine-tool. The machine-tool fixed frame has a C-shaped profile, and ends of branches of the C are linked to the machine-tool machining head. The ergonomic arrangement of the machine-tool functional parts is also considered.

  • Publication number: 20030129036
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for using a parallel structure (S) designed for positioning and displacing a mobile member (100) comprising at least a fixed element, at least a mobile member (100) and at least three actuators (200) each including a fixed part (210) and a mobile part (220), the mobile member (100) consisting of a support-sheath (110) of a tool spindle (111). Said device is characterised in that the parallel structure (S) is arranged such that the spindle (111) axis is horizontal. For this purpose, it comprises balancing means (M) which, enabling said support-sheath (110) to move in rectilinear manner along axes X, Y and Z, maintains the assembly consisting of the support-sheath (110), the spindle (111) and the tool such that the weight of the latter is not transferred on said parallel structure (S). The invention is useful for high-speed machining for machining operations including drilling, counter sinking, tapping or boring.
