Publication number: 20120311070Abstract: In a method and system for accessing content, a type of device executing an application configured to access a plurality of content items is detected. The application aggregates for each content item at least one content source from which the content item may be accessed. A selection of a content item from a plurality of content items is received. A request for the content item is transmitted to a content source of the at least one content source. The request specifies a priority ordering of encoding schemes for the content item that is based on the type of device executing the application. The content item is received from the content source. The content item has an encoding scheme selected from the priority ordering of the encoding schemes.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 31, 2011Publication date: December 6, 2012Applicant: FANHATTAN LLCInventors: Gilles Serge BianRosa, Olivier Chalouhi, Christophe Jean-Claude Gillet, Keith Ohlfs

Patent number: 8312869Abstract: An underwater hunting gun of the crossbow type uses push-rods for tensioning elastic links, the push-rods being placed laterally on a moving headpiece activated by a lever-operated arming system. The elastic links run freely around the push-rods such that front ends of the elastic links are permanently and preferably fixed to the base and rear ends are fixed under no tension in a slot of a bolt or arrow. The sliding of the moving headpiece in the forward bolt-support segment intensifies the drawing of the elastic links from the back forwards over and under the push-rods, thus optimizing, at the time of firing, the range of the bolt without recoil of the crossbow through the fact that the bolt is expelled in the manner of a whiplash. The crossbow incorporates a power regulator and an arrow rail offering stealthy firing suited to the range to the target.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2007Date of Patent: November 20, 2012Inventor: Jean-Claude Gillet

Publication number: 20080201228Abstract: A system to assist sellers create automated sales for products and services the seller has made available for purchase. The embodiments include receiving sales information that includes data item information that identifies a plurality of data items that are offered for purchase by a seller on a network-based marketplace. The system provides means for scheduling a sale based on the sale information, the sale to begin at a first time and end at a second time, the first time associated with a reduction of a plurality of prices to a plurality of discounted prices. The plurality of prices respectively associated with the plurality of data items. The plurality of discounted prices respectively associated with the plurality of data items and the second time associated with a restoration of the plurality of prices for the plurality of data items.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 11, 2008Publication date: August 21, 2008Inventors: Christophe Jean Claude Gillet, Myra Wong Liu, Hernan Ignacio Teano, Stephen Tse

Patent number: 5107333Abstract: A bispectral pick-up and false color display system which comprises a bispectral camera for analyzing a picture in the visible range and a picture in the infrared range, and outputting two respective video signals, one for the visible range and one for the infrared range. A mixer then mixes these two video signals and derives, therefrom, three color control signals, each color control signal being a linear combination of the two video signals given by the bispectral camera. A manual setting device then sets or adjusts the coefficients of each of the combinations. A standard color television monitor then can display a picture as a function of the three color control signals. The disclosed device can be applied to target-sighting and target-tracking devices for land vehicles.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1990Date of Patent: April 21, 1992Assignee: Thomson-CSFInventors: Jean L. Poque, Claude Gillet

Patent number: 4794457Abstract: The circuit disclosed can be used to process synchronous video signals, especially those coming from two standard CCD sensors. It comprises two channels connected at the output to the two inputs, respectively, of an adder circuit which gives the mixed video signal. The first channel comprises a subtractor circuit which receives the two video signals, a high-frequency filter circuit to eliminate the low-frequency spectrum ranging between 0 and a determined limit frequency, an amplifier circuit to balance the gain of the two channels and a fast change-over/sampler circuit connected to the first input of the adder during half of each dot cycle, while the second input of the adder continually receives one of the video signals. The mixed signal thus comprises an unchanged low-frequency component which eliminates faults in the sensors related to non-homogeneity.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1987Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Assignee: Thomson-CSFInventors: Claude Gillet, Gerard Voisin, Jean-Francois Bruyeres-Inza
