  • Publication number: 20120035731
Abstract: The invention relates to an intervertebral disc prosthesis (2) that comprises first and second rigid half-envelopes (3, 4) in the form of plates, each intended to be secured to one of the two vertebrae adjacent to the intervertebral disc to be replaced. The first half-envelope (3) includes a central tubular part (5) oriented towards the second half-envelope, while the second half-envelope (4) includes a central stud (6) having a cross-section smaller than that of the tubular part, said stud being oriented towards the first half-envelope and inserted in the tubular part. According to the invention, the intervertebral disc prosthesis further comprises a compression pad (7) disposed between the two half-envelopes, including in the space between the tubular part and the stud.

  • Patent number: 6715087
Abstract: A method for sending a remote power feed to a terminal in a local area network. A repeater of the local area network produces a detection signal in a line to which a remote terminal is connected, and the signal has an energy level that will not damage the terminal. The presence of a remote terminal adapted to receive a remote power feed via the repeater is detected by detecting the presence of a predetermined impedance in the terminal, and power is supplied to the terminal via the repeater in response to detection of the presence of the terminal.

  • Patent number: 5683463
Abstract: The hollow tubular implant of the invention comprises an internal cavity delimited by a peripheral wall open at its first end and having a generally circular cross-section external surface. Two side surfaces are solid and top and bottom surfaces have communicating holes in them. Annular external ribs prevent retrograde movement and rotation of the implant when inserted between two adjacent vertebrae. The implant achieves good fastening together of the two vertebrae and fusion thereof by means of a bone graft inserted in the implant before fitting.

  • Patent number: RE44325
Abstract: A method for sending a remote power feed to a terminal in a local area network. A repeater of the local area network produces a detection test signal in a line to which a remote terminal is connected, and the signal has an energy level that will not damage the terminal. The presence of a remote terminal adapted to receive a remote power feed via the repeater is detected by detecting the presence of a predetermined impedance in the terminal, and power is supplied to the terminal via the repeater in response to detection of the presence of the terminal.
