  • Publication number: 20080055622
Abstract: A method for executing a print process on a printing apparatus that is provided with a print engine, a local user interface unit and a control unit includes receiving a cancel instruction via the local user interface unit and cancelling an active print process of a print job executed according to image-processing attributes. The method further includes receiving an instruction via the local user interface unit to modify the image-processing attributes of the print job, converting the print job according the modified image-processing attributes into a raster image and activating a print process of the print job according to the modified image-processing attributes. A printing apparatus for performing the method includes a print engine, a local user interface and a control unit.

  • Patent number: 5603771
Abstract: Apparatus for plasma activated chemical vapor deposition, the apparatus comprising a microwave-excited plasma reactor with a reaction enclosure (10), a microwave generator (20), a waveguide (21) providing non-resonant coupling, and insertion means (40-54) for inserting at least one flow of a predetermined gaseous mixture into the enclosure; the insertion means comprise, in order: transformation means (40-43) for transforming the state of a precursor of a material to be deposited to bring it to the gaseous state, feed means (41, 42) for feeding a vector gas suitable for being charged with the gaseous precursor to constitute the above-mentioned predetermined gaseous mixture; and injection means (18) for injecting the predetermined gaseous mixture into the enclosure (10) and comprising an externally frustoconical nozzle provided with an injection orifice situated at one end and shaped as a function of the injection orifice and of the column configuration of the plasma formed, said nozzle having means for heating

  • Patent number: 4525337
Abstract: A method for the high temperature, high pressure impregnation of thick woven carbon substrates with pitches to form carbon impregnated carbon bodies. The use of pitch with high (about 30%) levels of free carbon as the impregnating pitch reduces the number of cycles to obtain a product of given density as compared to carbon free pitch. The impregnation is conducted in hydrogen permeable aneroid vessels.

  • Patent number: 4514371
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and device for the accelerated densification of a porous carbonaceous substrate, of the type consisting in decomposing a hydrocarbon substance in the presence of said substrate under high pressure and at high temperature, decomposition being effected inside a closed reactor allowing the elimination of the hydrogen emitted during the reaction as it is produced, the walls of said reactor having the necessary suppleness for the inner volume thereof to be adapted at any instant, under the effect of the pressure applied, to the volume of the liquid phase which it contains, wherein the hydrocarbon substance to be decomposed is chosen from the group comprising pitches, acenaphthylene, phenanthrene or mixtures of these products. The invention also relates to a process for preparing said substance.
