  • Publication number: 20150217440
Abstract: A modular tool construction is provided comprising a tool shaft with a first and second connector assembly that are adapted to removably support tool implements at each end, whereby the tool can take on different tasks without resorting to multiple, single-use tools. The connector assemblies comprise an elongated, male connector member that is adapted to be received by a complimentary female member. The connection between the male and female members aligns the tool shaft with the tool implement. A slidable sleeve is thereafter positioned over the joint and threadably secured thereover. The internal members and the sleeve provide sufficient support to prevent prying and failure at the joint location, while also providing for ease of attachment and removal of different implements. The tool shaft is adapted to comprise a male and a female connector member at opposing ends.

  • Patent number: 5527039
Abstract: The invention relates to a golf training aid to be used in combination with a golf club to assist in the visualizing of the action of the golf club head during the arc of a golf swing. The training aid is adapted to be attached to the shaft of the golf club so as to maintain the club head in the proper position during the arc of a swing. The device includes a body block and attachment portion for removable securement to a golf club shaft by sliding gate and lock means. The body block has a flat surface and is positioned at 90.degree. to the golf club head, acting as a level to help maintain the club head in a proper position throughout the arc of a golf club swing, thereby maintaining the club head in a proper position for striking a golf ball. A rubber plug secures the attachment means to the golf club so as to prevent slipping or movement of the training aid during a golf club swing.

  • Patent number: 5116385
Abstract: An improved prosthetic foot keel is proposed, based on the capability of the flexible keel to maintain the amputee's stability by means of medio-lateral forces and impulsions, while initially storing energy at heel strike and mid-stance, for restoring same at toe-off, in all planes. The keel is of the cantilever spring type, as generally disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 4,645,509 to Poggi et al.. The improvement is directed: firstly, to a medially-oriented heel curvature which, at heel strike, provides medio-lateral stability during the weight transfer from the contra-lateral limb to the prosthetic limb; and secondly, to an inward medio-lateral forefront portion extension thereof which, by extending the lever arm of the deformable keel, produces a medio-lateral propulsion capability at foot push off. Hence, this keel medio-lateral heel curvature and inward extension facilitates lateral back and forth swinging motion of the amputee's body center of gravity, typical of a normal gait.
