Abstract: An improved device for exposing an emulsion-coated screen to light comprises an array of ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UV-LEDs); a positive impression of the artwork to be printed; a relatively-flat transparent plate disposed between the array of UV-LEDs and the positive impression; a screen coated with a light-curable emulsion; the positive impression disposed on the side of the screen having the emulsion coat; a holding means, disposed on the side of the screen opposite the positive impression, for holding the screen in a planar position; and a means for electrically driving the UV-LEDs to emit ultraviolet light for a predetermined time period. The device can be formed into a compact device having a lid comprising the UV-LED array and a flat transparent plate of transparent material (such as glass), and driving and timing means for electrically driving the array of UV-LEDs to emit ultraviolet light for a predetermined period of time.
