Abstract: The present invention relates to new N-substituted anilines which correspond to the general formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents an alkyl radical or substituted alkyl radical, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical or substituted alkyl radical, R.sub.3 represents a cyano, carbamoyl, carboxy or carbalkoxy radical and R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxy radical. These compounds are valuable intermediates for the preparation of coloring materials, especially as coupling compounds for the synthesis of azo dyes.

Abstract: Azo dyestuffs, insoluble in water, are represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein A represents the residue of a diazotizable benzene component carrying at least two substituents or the residue of a diazotizable heterocyclic component, R represents alkyl, B represents an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, and X represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, acylamino, benzoylamino, alkoxycarbonylamino, phenoxycarbonylamino, alkylsulfonylamino or phenylsulfonylamino, the dyestuff molecule being free of groups causing water solubility by formation of ions. These dyestuffs can be used for dyeing of hydrophobic fibers, in particular polyester fibers. Affinity is excellent and there are obtained bright, full-bodied shades very fast to wet tests, sublimation, abrasion and light.

Abstract: Complex chromium-bearing dyestuffs of formula: ##STR1## where A represents a diazotizable amine residue,B represents the residue of a coupling agent,Y.sub.1 represents a --O-- or ##STR2## residue, Y.sub.2 represents a --O-- or ##STR3## residue, E represents the residue of a monoanionic bifunctional chelating agent,Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 are respectively in the ortho position with respect to the --N.dbd.N-- group,G represents a neutral monofunctional ligand, andZ represents a reactive group attached to A or B directly or via a bridging group such as ##STR4## --SO.sub.2 NH-- or --CO--NH--, R denoting hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 2 carbon atoms; their process of preparation, and their application for dyeing of a variety of natural or synthetic fibers and fabrics including regenerated cellulose, wool, silk, synthetic polyamides. They may also be used for the dyeing of leather.

Abstract: The invention relates to new cationic azo dyestuffs which correspond to the general formula: ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents an alkyl radical or a substituted alkyl radical, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical or a substituted alkyl radical, R.sub.3 represents a cyano, carbamoyl or carbalkoxy radical, R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxy radical, D.sup..sym. represents a cycloammonium radical and A.sup..crclbar. represents an anion. These dyestuffs are very suitable for dyeing and printing textile materials based on polymers or copolymers of unsaturated nitriles or on acid-modified polyesters or polyamides, in shades very fast to light and wet treatments.

Abstract: Chromiferous complexes of the type: ##STR1## IN WHICH (I) represents the residue of a metallizable azo or azomethine compound, (II) represents the residue of a bidentate chelating agent and Z represents a monofunctional neutral ligand: process for the preparation of such complexes which comprises reacting a bidentate chelating agent with a 1:1 cationic chromium complex of an azo or azomethine compound in the presence of ammonia or an organic base and the use of such complexes for the coloration of synthetic materials.
