  • Patent number: 6794587
Abstract: The hermetically sealed measuring sensor includes a monolithic proof body having at its ends a first and a second non-deformable parts connected together by a central part designed as a deformable parallelogram. This central part has two through openings defining between them a main beam of which at least one end is joined via a connecting section to a measuring beam which performs one piece with a non-deformable part of the proof body, but is uncoupled mechanically there from. At least one of the non-deformable parts has at least one cavity of which one wall is formed by the measuring beam and by two membranes situated one on each side of this measuring beam. Strain gauges are fixed inside the cavity on the back of the measuring beam and the cavity is closed by a cover which is welded, bonded, or fixed tightly to the corresponding non-deformable part.

Abstract: The hermetically sealed measuring sensor includes a monolithic proof body (1) having at its ends a first (2) and a second (3) non-deformable parts connected together by a central part designed as a deformable parallelogram. This central part of the proof body (1) has two through openings (6, 7) defining between them a main beam (10) of which at least one end is joined via a connecting section (13) to a measuring beam (12) which forms one piece with a non-deformable part (2, 3) of the proof body, but is uncoupled mechanically from the same. At least one of the non-deformable parts (2, 3) of the proof body has at least one cavity (4, 4′, 22) of which one wall is formed by the measuring beam (12) and by two membranes (15) situated one on each side of this measuring beam (12).

  • Patent number: 6373002
Abstract: A damper for a weighing device including a cavity 4 in which a plate 12 can move, which plate is designed for being connected to a weight measuring device 2. The cavity 4 is closed tightly by a flexible membrane 14 and is partly filled with an oil, while leaving a volume of air or of a gas between the top 14a of the oil and the membrane 14, the plate 12 being totally immersed in the oil. The lower surface of the plate 12 and the bottom of the cavity 4 have shapes which are not planar and which are not parallel to each other, thus preventing the formation of a thin film of oil between them. The peripheral surface of the plate 12 and of the peripheral wall of the cavity 4 define therebetween a first constriction 15 of which the transverse section is constant whatever the position of the plate 12 in the cavity 4.

  • Patent number: 6318185
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a compression stress sensor having a proof body (1) and strain gauges (7) connected together to form a Wheatstone bridge. The proof body (1) is made as a single piece from a monolithic rod which is cylindrical or prismatic with a circular or a regularly polygonal transverse section. This rod (1) is traversed in its median part by at least one pair of passages (3, 4) orthogonal one with respect to the other and located in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (X) of the proof body (1) to define between them independent measure columns (5). The end faces (2, 2a) of the proof body provide bearing faces receiving the forces to be measured and a strain gauge (7) is fixed to a surface of each independent measure column (5).

  • Patent number: 6228152
Abstract: A filter device has a frame, a grid, a filter medium and, if desired, a gas adsorption medium. The frame is flexible so as to be temporarily deformable and is made of polypropylene, as is the grid. The filter medium is a mat of non-woven material and the gas adsorption medium is activated carbon.
