    Abstract: A folding bellows arrangement, e.g., for a tripod joint unit, may comprise a joint outer part with a groove, a folding bellows with a joint collar region for attachment to said joint outer part, and an adapter ring. The joint collar region may comprise a joint binder seat region. The adapter ring may have an inner surface that is matching in a cross section to an outer contour of the joint outer part. On an inner area of the joint collar region and within the joint binder seat region of the folding bellows, at least one bead may be arranged. The bead matching a groove may be arranged on an outer area of the adapter ring. The groove of the adapter ring may correspond to at least one first sealing lip arranged on an inner area of the adapter ring, and at least one second sealing lip may be arranged on the inner area of the adapter ring. The first and second sealing lips may be arranged within the groove of the joint outer part.

Each lug (12) comprises a radially outer shoulder (16) providing transition between the lug (12) and the bellows body (10), and a support surface (20) designed to receive a member (22) such as a ring or a clamp, for tightly fixing the lug against the shaft or the associated element. The support surface (20) extends from the shoulder (16) and extends further up to the end of the lug (12) without any increase in diameter. The shoulder (16) is adapted to form a longitudinal positioning stop when the fixing member (22) is mounted. The invention is applicable to bellows with lugs fixed by swage-crimping of a closed ring.

The sealing means are axially located on the same side as at least part of the lug (36) retaining the bellows rear end region (34). The invention is applicable to tripod constant velocity universal joints.

Between each spherical roller (3) and the associated second runway path (8) there is interposed an anti-vibration assembly (4) which, on the inside, includes a spherical surface which substantially matches the external surface of the spherical roller and interacts with this surface. This assembly (4) moves along the second runway path (8).
