    Abstract: According to the invention, an elevator installation of the type which has a group of cars controlled by controllers (A, B, C) which communicate with each other through at least one communications loop (10, 12) and a specific protocol, includes a supervisor (14) inserted in the communications loop, and which is controlled by said protocol, and a communications system (20, 22) that allows a priority user to give commands to said supervisor, wherein a car is isolated from the set of cars, the selected car is sent to the desired level, doors closed, the user is informed that the car has arrived at the level, and the doors are opened when the user reaches the car.
