  • Publication number: 20030155748
Abstract: The modular trailer of the present invention generally includes a base frame, a tire assembly, a tongue assembly, an end assembly and at least one modular carrier assembly. The modular carrier assembly is available in a plurality of configurations and can be used for transporting vehicles such as personal watercraft, all terrain vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, golf carts and lawn and garden equipment. The modular carrier assemblies are removably securable to the base frame assembly to provide a myriad of structural and functional configurations for the trailer system. Each carrier assembly is fully compatible with the base frame and designed for ease-of-use and installation. Modular engagement of the carrier assembly to the base frame assembly is generally achieved using channeling frame members and fasteners and securing means capable of engagement and securement substantially without the use of tools.

  • Patent number: 4898713
Abstract: For sterilizing a tight enclosure (10) equipped with a ventilation and filtration circuit (14), said enclosure is isolated and the internal relative humidity level is lowered by means of an assembly (50) incorporating a drying cartridge (54). The sterilizing agent (46) is then introduced through a closed circuit (30) until a relative humidity level close to the dew point is obtained. The sterilizing agent is kept in the enclosure for a given contact time, before scavenging said agent by means of the ventilation and filtration circuit (14).

  • Patent number: 4509505
Abstract: Isolator for confining and transporting in a sterile atmosphere human beings and in particular babies, comprising a tight enclosure, ventilated by a forced fresh air circulation circulated by a first fan through an absolute inlet filter and an absolute outlet filter, rapid transfer devices which are sealed from the outside, tight intervention devices, certain of which form an integral part of the enclosure wall, wherein it comprises, between the fresh air inlet and outlet, a branch equipped with a second fan and a variable temperature heater element, said temperature being automatically limited to a maximum value of approximately 120.degree. C., so as to produce heating and setting to a reference temperature of the internal atmosphere by the partial recycling thereof, all the energy necessary for the operation of the installation being provided by an autonomous accumulator battery, which can be that of the transportation vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4494586
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety device for an interlocking mechanism between two sealed enclosures such as found in biological or nuclear environments and which prevents accidental opening of one or the other of two doors closing off the enclosures, which prevents leakage from the enclosures and which may be readily retrofitted to an existing locking system. The locking system comprises a locking ring (36) rotatable between an inoperative position and a locking position for locking the two enclosures and an operating lever for locking the two doors. The safety device includes two locking mechanisms electrically controlled by four prepositioned detection means on the form of microswitches for locking and unlocking the two locking mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 4435194
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit for ventilating and filtering the medium contained in a confinement enclosure (10) and also a method for sterilizing such an enclosure and its supply and discharge filters. An emergency or standby circuit is associated with the circuit ensuring ventilation and filtration under normal operating conditions and which comprises a supply pipe (20) and a discharge pipe (12), equipped with a suction fan (14). The said emergency circuit comprises the same pipes used in the opposite direction under the action of a suction fan (28) located in supply pipe (20), whereby said fan (28) can be automatically controlled by a pressostat (30). Sterilization is performed chemically, using a sterilizer which is connected to the supply duct between a valve and the supply filters disposed downstream of the valve. The sterilizer delivers a sterilizing agent which passes successively through the supply filters, the enclosure and the discharge filters.

  • Patent number: 4353268
Abstract: A connecting rod for the control and/or transmission of force, particularly for use in aeronautical construction, comprises a tubular body formed of high-strength fibres bonded together by polymerized epoxy resin. The body has frusto-conical end portions each surrounding a frusto-conical skirt portion of an end member which is adapted to receive coupling means. A ferrule, also formed of bonded fibres, is provided to tighten each frusto-conical end portion of the body against the frusto-conical skirt portion of the corresponding end member.
