  • Patent number: 5594334
Abstract: A bearing with integrated data sensor has a stationary bearing ring, a rotatable bearing ring, and rolling elements in contact with the bearing rings. An encoder is mounted on the rotatable bearing ring, and a sealing gasket is mounted on the stationary bearing ring. A sleeve for protection of a sensor cable is integrally connected to the sealing gasket and has a groove for housing a sensor means which is connected to the sensor cable. The sleeve has a wall of its extremity which is substantially perpendicular to an external side of the sealing gasket through which the sensor cable exits such that it is tangential to said external side of the sealing gasket.

  • Patent number: 5310266
Abstract: A packing is mounted on a fixed ring of a rolling-contact bearing with rolling elements in contact with the fixed ring and a rotating ring. A sensor is supported by the packing and an encoder is mounted on the rotating ring. A protective casing for the sensor and its connection with a feed cable has a chamber extending axially, between a recess receiving the fixed ring and a bottom wall of the casing, for holding the cable. The resulting rolling-contact bearing assembly may include a winding cylinder and may include features permitting assembling together of a number of casings for different bearing assemblies.

  • Patent number: 4842605
Abstract: The invention has as its object an improved hip prosthesis in which the femoral prosthesis oscillates around a pin inclined approximately 20.degree. to the horizontal, characterized by the fact that this oscillation is provided inside the head of the femoral prosthesis by a double bearing comprising a row of rollers to support the radial loads and, a row of balls to support the axial loads.

  • Patent number: 4434985
Abstract: A gasket is disclosed having a lining (3) with watertight rims (4,5,8) in which lining is placed between two rings (2,6). A rim (8), which interlocks with the lining (3) attached to one of the rings (2 or 6), rests on the edge (7) of the other ring (6 or 2) so as to keep the two rings together while enclosing the lining.

  • Patent number: 4357058
Abstract: A self-centering thrust bearing assembly, in which the bearing comprises one ring intended to cooperate with a driving unit of the clutch assembly, whereas its other ring is mounted on an axial movable support driven for the clutching operation, said mounting being provided with a certain radial clearance and a resilient pinching action in axial sliding rest on said support. The pinching action is substantially carried out by first fastening means exerting a pinching stress localized from the ring to the support so that it constitutes for the ring the center of a pivoting movement which is superposed to the radial sliding clearance for the self-centering process.
