In one aspect, a method includes receiving input text to locate within a web page, identifying text in the web page matching the received input text, and providing for display, in a display bar, at least one indicator representing a location of the identified text within the web page. The method also includes receiving a selection of the at least one indicator in the display bar, and providing, for display, a portion of the web page that includes the matching text represented by the selected at least one indicator. Abstract: Systems and methods for visually scrolling through a stack of items displayed on a device are provided. In some aspects, a system includes a detection module configured to determine a motion of the device relative to a neutral position of the device. Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for temporarily storing history of a web browsing session are provided. In one aspect, the method includes receiving a request to temporarily store session information for a web browsing session comprising at least one request to view a web page. The method also includes compressing data for the session information associated with the web browsing session, and storing the compressed data for the session information associated with the web browsing session only in a volatile memory. The compressed data for the session information stored in the volatile memory is lost when power to the volatile memory is off. A reference to the compressed data for the session information in the volatile memory is removed when the web browsing session is terminated.

The default storage location is selected based on the type of the device from among a plurality of default storage locations for storing URIs, each of the default storage locations being specific to a different type of device. Two or more associated devices of different types can access the other's default storage location. The default storage location for the corresponding device accessing its own storage location will be displayed as the primary storage location, and the default storage location for a non-corresponding device will be displayed as a secondary storage location.
