  • Patent number: 11446657
Abstract: A microfluidic system comprising a chamber closed by movable elements and connected to at least one channel. The system has at least one structured component and at least one component attached to the structured component. The chamber is used such that the movable element can be moved into the chamber as well as out of the chamber by a movement of the movable element. Liquids or gases can be moved via one or more channels connected to the chamber by the movement and dispensed or received out of the structured component via a connection of the channel. A liquid reagent reservoir is connected to the pump chamber via the sample supply channel. Thus, the system can be used to receive, pump, dilute, mix, and dispense liquids or gases.

  • Publication number: 20210172968
Abstract: Systems and methods that enable automated processing of specimens carried on microscope slides are described herein. Aspects of the technology are directed, for example, to an automated staining system that includes an instrument including an end effector and a stainer unit-receiving station that receives a stainer unit such that the end effector delivers reagent from the reagent reservoirs to a reaction chamber of the slide stainer unit. The stainer unit can carry fresh reagents, waste material, and components used to handle the reagents.

  • Publication number: 20200038862
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluidic system comprising a chamber which is closed by movable elements and which is connected to at least one channel. The entire system has at least one structured component, at least one component which is attached to the structured component, and a component for storing liquids. The invention additionally relates to a closure option for at least one fluidic interface. The closure option can be configured as a cap or a valve. The invention has at least two fluidic interfaces. The chamber is used such that the movable element can be moved into the chamber as well as out of the chamber by a movement of the movable element. Liquids or gases can be moved via one or more channels connected to the chamber by means of the movement and dispensed or received out of the structured component via a connection of the channel. A liquid reagent reservoir is connected to the pump chamber via the sample supply channel.

  • Patent number: 10232365
Abstract: A test device (80) for testing for the presence of a substance in a sample held on a sample carrier (30) includes a holder (82) for holding a sample carrier (30) which includes one or more chambers (50,52). The test device (80) also includes an actuator for compressing or depressurizing the chamber(s) (50,52). The actuator is configured to prevent reinflation of the chamber(s) (50,52) after compression or depressurization.

  • Patent number: 9726301
Abstract: The present invention describes a device consisting of a rotor, a holding-down device, and a base plate. The base plate is normally a fluidic system, a planar fluidic system for example or a fluidic system with several fluidic ports for a directed guidance of liquids or gases through different channels, channel systems, cavities or tubing, for the combination liquid and gas streams, or for prevention of liquid flows.
