  • Publication number: 20240148512
Abstract: In order to provide a tibial component for a knee joint endoprosthesis, wherein the tibial component comprises a tibial plate with a top side and a bottom side and comprises an anchoring projection protruding from the bottom side for insertion into the medullary space of a tibia to anchoring the tibial component to the tibia, said tibial component enabling an improved alignment on the tibia, it is proposed that the anchoring projection is mounted on the tibial plate so as to be pivotable and/or rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the anchoring projection. Furthermore, an improved knee joint endoprosthesis system is proposed.

  • Patent number: 8765359
Abstract: Methods of preparing organosilane-functionalized regions on a substrate surface and more specifically fabricating patterned functionalized substrates suitable to be optically read, the methods generally comprising employing a vapor deposition process of an organosilane gas onto a lithographically patterned silicon surface followed by removal of the patterning media in a bath of organic solvents and ultrasonic excitation. The inventive methods provide optimized surface density of functional species while avoiding deleterious effects that can occur when lithographically patterned substrates are exposed to various gaseous species during the functionalization process.

  • Publication number: 20120271765
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for routing optimization. A gateway processing service receives a first ordered list of payment processing networks associated with a first condition. The first ordered list comprises a higher priority payment processing network and a lower priority payment processing network. A second ordered list received by the gateway processing service comprises a higher priority payment processing network and a lower priority payment processing network. An authorization request message for a transaction is received by the gateway processing service. If the first condition is satisfied, the gateway processing service routes the authorization request message according to the first ordered list. If the first condition is not satisfied, the gateway processing service routes the authorization request message according to the second ordered list.

  • Publication number: 20110087546
Abstract: In one aspect, a computing apparatus includes: a transaction handler to process transactions; a data warehouse to store transaction data recording a plurality of transactions processed at the transaction handler for a user; an anticipation engine coupled to the data warehouse to predict a future event relating to the user based on the transaction data stored in the data warehouse; a profile generator to generate a spending profile of the user based at least in part on the future event predicted for the user; and a portal coupled to the profile generator to provide the spending profile in response to a query.
