  • Publication number: 20110183147
Abstract: A method for functionalising a textile substrate made of a hydrophilic material in order to impart humidity transfer properties thereto, wherein the method includes the steps of: preparing a formulation of at least one hydrophobic material containing at least one group reacting under ionising radiation; forming a discontinuous layer using the formulation on a surface of the textile substrate; and applying an ionising radiation onto the discontinuous layer in order to graft the hydrophobic material on the surface of the substrate by the reaction of the reactive groups.

  • Publication number: 20100099315
Abstract: A textile substrate containing fibres is provided, which substrate includes a thermal regulation composition. The substrate is characterized in that it further comprises islands of a material which are associated with the fibres in order to be surrounded by the thermal regulation composition. The island-forming material is capable of enhancing the heat and/or humidity transfer in the thermal regulation composition. A method for producing such a textile substrate is described.

  • Publication number: 20100035492
Abstract: A method for functionalising a textile substrate using an active composition is described. The method includes the following steps: preparing a formulation of microcapsules containing the active composition in an envelope, the envelope being based on a material containing a type of group reacting under an ionising radiation, and the formulation further comprising at least one cross-linking bonding agent having two types of groups reacting under an ionising radiation; impregnating the textile substrate with the microcapsule formulation; applying an ionising radiation to the impregnated textile substrate in order to carry out the cross-linking bonding of the microcapsules on the substrate by reaction of the reactive groups. A functionalised textile substrate obtained by the method, and a textile item made from such textile substrate are described.

  • Patent number: 5441742
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cellular cellulosic material containing a biocide agent and to a process for preparing same. Characteristically, matrix type microparticles, containing at least one biocide agent, are distributed in the network of cellulose of said material, ensuring therein, in the presence of moisture or water, a controlled release of the biocide agent or agents.

  • Patent number: 4940631
Abstract: The invention relates to a cellular cellulosic wiping material consisting of a cellular cellulosic substrate covered on at least one side with an expanded latex foam obtained from an aqueous latex composition having a viscosity of between 2500 and 3500 mPa.s, measured at 20.degree. C. under 65% humidity, and giving a foam density of between 250 and 400 g/l.
