Abstract: A tracheal tube attachment for a tracheal device is disclosed. The tracheal tube attachment fits over an end of a tracheal device to directly connect the tracheal device to an oxygen source. The tracheal tube attachment may include a central chamber having radial openings which may be partially or fully covered by a collar rotatably fitted around the central chamber. The collar and radial openings may be used to control the amount of oxygen received through the oxygen tube, as well as exhaling carbon dioxide to ambient.

The tube includes a proximal section having an open proximal end for attaching to a tracheal device, and a distal section having an open distal end. The proximal section extends from the proximal end to an intermediate point between the proximal and distal ends. The distal section is integrally connected to the proximal section at the intermediate point, where it has the same diameter as the proximal section, and further extends to the distal end with an increasing diameter towards the distal end. The proximal end is integrally connected to the center of the plate, which has a circular hole in its center so that the plate would not block the opening of the tube at the proximal end. The tracheal tube attachment enables a person wearing a tracheal device to breathe comfortably by preventing water and other unwanted materials from getting into the tracheal device.
