  • Patent number: 9481401
Abstract: Damping structure provides damping between a first component and a second component of an instrument cluster of a vehicle. The damping structure includes a resilient and flexible damper having a body with first and second opposing ends. The first end is closed and the second end is open to communicate with a generally cylindrical recess in the body. A holding member is coupled to and extends from the first component. The holding member includes a body having a recess therein. At least a portion of the body of the holding member is received in the recess of the damper, with the closed end of the damper covering the recess in the body of the holding member so as to trap air therein. When the first component is coupled to the second component, the closed end of the damper engages the second component so that the damper is under compression loading.

  • Publication number: 20110048081
Abstract: A textile washing machine has a rotary basket balanced in at least one of its two planes, where optionally a first balance ring is structurally formed at the lower part of the basket or bottom of basket in order to balance the lower plane of the rotary basket and/or optionally, a second balance ring structured at the upper part of the basket. The first balance ring comprises: a channel or track that forms an integral part with the bottom of basket, a viscous drag fluid lodged in the track, a plurality of spheres lodged in the channel or track, immerse in the viscous drag fluid, and a lid that seals hermetically against the track. The lid comprises at least one radial rib in order to provide the bottom of basket with a structural reinforcement so that the bottom of basket does not weaken due to the presence of the track or channel.

  • Patent number: 5595794
Abstract: An archival photoprint laminate process employs a dye-bleach developed transparent print laminated on both sides using a polyurethane bonding material which includes UV inhibitors, and then fusing those three layers between opposing sheets of glass in a standard type heat-laminating process. An aliphatic polyether urethane extruded sheet is employed as the bonding material. The print is developed on ILFORD CC.F7 transparent display film by the Ilford CIBACHROME II process.

  • Patent number: 4968553
Abstract: A graphic glass laminate is created by heat-laminating a printed sheet of extruded polyurethane between two plates of glass, using normal autoclave process. The polyurethane interlayer bonds directly to the glass with very little distortion to the color or registration of the printed ink. The resulting composite is extremely strong and safe, having better structural and superior heat-resistant characteristics compared to regular safety glass and may contain an extremely artistic and decorative look. The interlayer graphics can be made "light-fast" when proper inks are used. Transparent and translucent inks may be employed and the glass may be used with different lighting techniques, such as edge-lighting.
