  • Patent number: 5853390
Abstract: A syringe for hypodermic injections comprising a cylindrical body inside which a plunger is fitted so as to be slideable and actuatable by means of a stem that protrudes from an open end of the cylindrical body. An internally hollow needle is associated with the opposite end of the cylindrical body and is adapted to retract inside the cylindrical body, actuated by an elastic element, at the end of the injection.

    Filed: November 4, 1996
Date of Patent: December 29, 1998
    Assignee: Giovanni Freschi
    Inventor: Claudio Freschi
  • Patent number: 5106688
Abstract: The packaging of high profile, high abuse products, like bone-in meat cuts and/or fresh/processed fish, often results in vacuum loss, especially when the vacuum skin packaging (VSP) process is used. To reduce this problem a highly formable, highly abuse resistant film is provided wherein at least 25% of the total thickness comprises ionomer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 25, 1991
Date of Patent: April 21, 1992
    Assignee: W. R. Grace & Co.-Conn.
Inventors: John G. Bradfute, Claudio Freschi
  • Patent number: 4963427
Abstract: This invention relates to a co-extruded multilayer film and particularly for vacuum packaging food products. The film comprises at least one layer formed by ethylene-vinyl acetate-copolymer with a vinyl acetate content preferably comprised between 9% and 26% range by weight. The film is preferably radiated at a lower level than 20 MRad. The film is adaped to resist high stretch ratios during the packaging process, so that packaging of bodies with projecting portions or cavities is possible, without breaking the film.

  • Patent number: 4680340
Abstract: A seal layer for an easy open package consisting essentially of 40% or less, by weight, of a first polymer having a melt flow index of less than 5 selected from the group consisting of ionomers and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, and 60% or more by weight of a second polymer having a melt flow index greater than 20 being selected from the group consisting of low density polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, and modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, whereby the second polymer is a low density polyethylene if the first polymer is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
