  • Patent number: 7062868
Abstract: A protective toecap particularly for safety shoes, which has the particularity that it comprises a body (1) made of aluminum alloy with an elongation coefficient of more than 15%. The body (1) delimits a space with a rear opening and a lower opening and forms an upper portion (2) that blends with a substantially vertical rim (3) that affects the front portion (3a) and lateral portions (3b) that mutually diverge. There is also a lower rim (4), which delimits the lower opening and is connected to the lower end (3a) of the front portion and of the lateral portions (3b).

  • Publication number: 20050199362
Abstract: An apparatus and method for manufacturing articles made of aluminum, aluminum alloys, light alloys and the like, the apparatus comprising a lower die section (12) and at least one upper die section (13), associated with corresponding press platens (14,15) for closure determining shape of the cast article, a vertically elongated duct (16) for introducing liquid metal, a pressurized furnace that leads into the lower die section (13) that forms at least one lower impression (17) with at least one concave portion for introducing liquid metal through at least one corresponding inlet (18) formed at the upper portion of the duct (16), a male plug (19) associated with the upper die section (12), and movable with respect thereto.

  • Publication number: 20040154779
Abstract: An apparatus for producing toe caps for safety shoes and the like made of aluminum, aluminum alloys and light alloys in general, comprising a bottom die and a top die which can be associated with respective platens and can be mated so as to form at least one impression. The apparatus further comprises at least one male plug that can be inserted in the impression in order to form the shape of the part being formed and is suitable to act as a flow control element for the duct for introducing the liquid metal in the impression.

  • Patent number: 6598659
Abstract: A temperature control unit for dies and molds, particularly for pressure die-casting or injection-molding of aluminum and alloys thereof, plastic materials and the like, comprising a die or mold cooling circuit through which pressurized water flows. A water feed pump is connected to the circuit and is adjustable to a pressure which is higher than the evaporation pressure of water at a preheating temperature of the water, which can be detected by a first sensor for detecting the temperature of the water. The circuit includes a circulation pump, a water overflow valve which can be set to a lower pressure than the feed pump, and a heating unit which is controlled by the first temperature sensor. A die or mold temperature sensor is further provided which controls the feed pump.

  • Patent number: 5143141
Abstract: Controlled-pressure casting of molten metals using a die with an extractable punch and a fixed die, includes positioning and stopping the punch within the die so as to define a casting cavity with a volume greater that that of the part to be obtained. A metered amount of liquid metal is then poured into the casting cavity through a duct which leads into the cavity, and the punch is moved to close inside the die so as to create a pressure suitable for distributing the metal throughout the cavity. A high-pressure compression is then exerted on the metal contained in the cavity and, maintained until the molten metal solidifies, the punch is partially removed from the die, with separation of the punch from the formed part, before finally removing the punch from the die and extracting the part from the die.

  • Patent number: 4838561
Abstract: The chuck includes a structure supporting a table provided with first sliding seats and with second sliding seats which extend radially from the center of the table and respectively accommodate means for centering the workpiece and means for locking the workpiece; the centering means are controllably movable towards or away from the center of the table, while the locking means are controllably movable from a first position spaced from the workpiece to a second position proximate to the workpiece and are also controllably movable in a direction substantially perpendicular to the face of the table directed towards the workpiece from a release position, in which the locking means are disengaged with the workpiece, to an engagement position, in which the locking means are engaged from the workpiece. The chuck also includes control means which act on the centering means and on the locking means; means are furthermore provided for the connection of the control means to the locking means in the second position.
