  • Publication number: 20100173665
Abstract: A method, user equipment, network device, and software product enable a user equipment to determine that at least one of several triggering criterion have been met, in which case the user equipment provides a power control headroom report on an uplink from the user equipment. The triggering criterion includes a threshold having been reached, and the threshold is adjustable via a signal to the user equipment from a base station (such as an eNodeB).

  • Publication number: 20090245191
Abstract: A method can include determining a power headroom report, and transmitting the headroom report. The power headroom report can provide both positive and negative values of power headroom according to the determination, in which negative values indicate the missing power in dB to fulfill requirements, such as those given by current resource allocation and modulation and coding scheme. This method can be implemented by encoding instructions for performing this method on a computer-readable medium, such that the instructions when execute cause the computer to execute the method as a computer process. The method can further include receiving a power headroom report. The method can additionally include allocating radio network resources based on the power headroom report.

  • Publication number: 20090196177
Abstract: User equipments UEs send their buffer status reports and data to a relay node RN. The RN stores the data in actual buffers per radio bearer group RBG, and stores the UEs buffer occupancies in virtual buffers per RBG. The RN then sends its own status report to the controlling eNBr with the actual buffer occupancy and information about the virtual buffer occupancy. This enables the eNBr to know in advance the volume of data incoming to the RN's actual buffers, as well as the current occupancy of those buffers, so as to better allocate radio resources. Further, the RN can take soundings of the uplink channels between UEs and the RN, which are then aggregated across the RBRs and sent to the eNBr as a special UL CQI report.

  • Publication number: 20090111503
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments of the invention include a method, apparatus, and program to determine actions to be taken upon receiving overload indicators. In one exemplary embodiment of the invention, a method includes: determining if more than a first predetermined number of overload indicator messages are received within a first predetermined period of time. If such a determination is made that more than the first predetermined number of overload indicator messages are received within the first predetermined period of time is made, a value of a power output parameter is adjusted by decreasing the value of the power output parameter, and the adjusted value of the power output parameter is sent.

  • Publication number: 20090104916
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method, apparatus, system and computer program product for receiving a prioritized bit rate for a radio bearer, and setting a header element based at least on a relation of a measured data rate for the radio bearer and the prioritized bit rate for the radio bearer. A medium access control header element may be set based on the relation between the measured data rate and the prioritized bit rate for the corresponding radio bearer. A network element can derive information on the buffer status of the corresponding bearer, and lower-priority prioritized bit rate bearers. The medium access control header element may be set based on the amount of buffered data for radio bearers not included in the current transport block. The network element can derive information on the buffer status of non-prioritized bit rate bearers of priority lower than the transmitted ones.

  • Publication number: 20090088195
Abstract: An approach is provided for signaling of scheduling information. A determination of one or more parameters for inclusion as scheduling information is made. A message containing the scheduling information in a header field is generated, wherein the one or more parameters include at least one of buffer status information, power headroom information, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090049355
Abstract: For use in a communication system, an apparatus that, in one embodiment, includes a band flipping module configured to renumber physical resource blocks for a retransmission of data from physical resource blocks associated with a previous transmission of the data. The apparatus also includes a transceiver configured to retransmit the data in accordance with the renumbered physical resource blocks.

  • Publication number: 20070201369
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided. A method includes: providing at least one logical channel flow, wherein each logical channel flow of the at least one logical channel flow has an associated traffic priority; grouping the at least one logical channel flow by the associated traffic priority to form at least one group; determining an aggregate data flow for at least one group; comparing the determined aggregate data flow with at least one threshold value to obtain an indication value; and transmitting the indication value from a user equipment to a base station.

  • Publication number: 20070189304
Abstract: A network component for performing packet scheduling functions, the network component includes a medium access component and a physical component. The medium access component pre-calculates a set of transport blocks sizes based on predefined parameters and measurements for logical channel identifiers associated with a radio link identifier and signals the set of pre-calculated transport block sizes with a priority indicator to the physical component. The physical component selects one of the transport blocks in the set of transport blocks. The selection of a near optimum transport block size at the physical component is enabled for a certain amount of allocated physical resources.

  • Patent number: 6800014
Abstract: The object of the present invention is a device by means of which simulation of the lengthening of shortening of, for example, a limb is obtaining by construction of a telescoping structure, the mutual sliding of which, and therefore the lengthening or shortening is controlled by means of threads that are rolled or unrolled from a disk shaped like one or more side-by-side pulleys. Thanks also to the action of a counteracting spring. The movement of the spools is controlled by a circuit that registers shaking and therefore playing with the toy according to the equation, more playing=more growth (that is, more shaking more growth).
