Abstract: A method for making a medium for transferring a univocal pattern, comprising the steps of preparing a transfer medium (1) provided with a transfer surface (2), preparing an amount of encapsulated microdrops (3) of color, applying a layer of adhesive material (4) or other material or technique adapted to stably withhold said micro droplets at least on said transfer surface, randomly distributing an amount of encapsulated microdrops of color at least on said surface. Apparatus for implementing the method and medium thereby obtained.

Abstract: An accessory for a printing line provided with a surface (31) for feeding a paper web (32) for producing a unique pattern on said paper web by sprinkling marking particles, comprising adjustable means for sprinkling a desired amount of particles on an adhesive portion (4) of the paper web, means for stabilizing (11, 24) said marking particles sprinkled on said adhesive portion (4), and corresponding method comprising the steps of sprinkling on said adhesive portion an amount of marking particles, sucking in from said paper web a residual amount of particles not withheld by the adhesive portion, and stabilizing the marking particles with held by the adhesive portion.

Abstract: A system to check and certify the authenticity of labels provided with a marking consisting of one or more identification signs, includes: a) an alphanumeric code identifying each label; b) a set of memorizable and comparable data drawn from the label, which evidences a distinctive feature thereof; c) an information schedule concerning the articles or objects marked by the labels; d) a multiple-access data base into which are memorized, for each label, the alphanumeric code, the set of data, and the information schedule; e) a data transmission network allowing interested subjects, and an independent certifying agency, to gain access to said data base. The access to the data base allows a first monitoring level (check), which requires sending to the data base the alphanumeric code of the label, and a second monitoring level (certification), which requires sending to the data base the set of data drawn from the label.
