  • Patent number: 9764921
Abstract: The folding pocket device for a buckle folding machine includes a folding pocket having a feed-in aperture enabling a sheet to run therethrough in a running-in direction into a pocket space of the folding pocket. A sheet stop device includes a sheet stop extending essentially transversely to the running-in direction in the pocket space, which is displaceable in the running-in direction and in the opposite direction. A sheet directing device includes a diverting device, which is displaceable from a clearance position in which the diverting device opens up the way to the feed-in aperture into the folding pocket to a diverting position in which the diverting device blocks the feed-in aperture in order to divert a sheet. In order to achieve quick switching from the clearance position to the diverting position, the diverting device can be displaced from the clearance position to the diverting position by the sheet stop when the sheet stop is displaced opposite to the running-in direction.

  • Publication number: 20130345037
Abstract: The folding pocket device for a buckle folding machine comprises a folding pocket (11) having a feed-in aperture (25) enabling a sheet to run therethrough in a running-in direction (ER) into a pocket space (24) of the folding pocket (11). A sheet stop means includes a sheet stop (40) extending essentially transversely to the running-in direction (ER) in the pocket space (24), which is displaceable in the running-in direction (ER) and in the opposite direction. A sheet directing means (30) includes a diverting means (35), which is displaceable from a clearance position in which the diverting means (35) opens up the way to the feed-in aperture (25) into the folding pocket (11) to a diverting position in which the diverting means (35) blocks the feed-in aperture (25) in order to divert a sheet.

  • Patent number: 7686288
Abstract: A method and a device for further processing of sheets to produce multi-page printed products, several initial sheets (19) are each folded into a folded sheet (20) and subsequently collated one on top of the other such that the fold areas lie at the top and the folded sheets (20) open downwardly. A grooved line (30) is formed in each initial sheet (19) before folding, around which grooved line (30) the initial sheet (19) is subsequently folded, the depth and the width of the grooved line (30) being increased, initial sheet (19) by initial sheet (19), by a predetermined amount.

  • Publication number: 20070161488
Abstract: A folding device comprises a sheet transporting device (52) for transporting sheets (22) in a sheet support plane (BE) and a stationary folding knife (26) arranged opposite the sheet support plane (BE) in a sheet running direction (BL), the folding knife (26) comprising, at the side facing the sheet support plane (BE), folding edge means contacting a sheet (22) during the transport for forming a folding line in the sheet (22). In order to avoid a set-off of the printing color or the toner during the folding of sheets that are hot off the press or digitally printed, the folding edge means (28) comprises several folding rollers (30) being arranged one after the other in the sheet running direction (BL) and each being supported rotatably about a rotation axis (50) extending perpendicularly to the sheet running direction (BL).

  • Patent number: 4850520
Abstract: A cylinder stitching device for binding single sheets for thread sealing, modified French sewing, as well as for wire stitching, includes a stitching cylinder that is controlled by central cams. The stitching cylinder is equipped with stitching heads which can be automatically lubricated, are adjustable, and can optionally be replaced. The production arrangement, attached peripherally to the circumference of the stitching cylinder, is likewise replaceable and automated, so that, by use of the adjusting devices provided for the cylinder stitching device, rapid adaptation to changing processing material as well as high productivity are guaranteed.
