  • Patent number: 7748428
Abstract: A device for placing suspended labels including a multiple-page information section onto a bottleneck. The device includes a bottle conveying device for conveying bottles into a work area, and an application device having a pair of essentially parallel cantilevers which define a horizontal distance therebetween and end in the work area. Each cantilever includes a supply unit for grasping one side of the suspended label and for supplying the suspended label, wherein the cantilevers define an open intermediate space therebetween and are arranged such that a bottle reaching the work area extends with its neck into the intermediate space. A stop is provided in the area of the supply units for straightening the information portion of the suspended label.

  • Patent number: 7017733
Abstract: A driver for use in collecting and packaging machines has a base member securable on a transport system. A drive lever is arranged pivotably on the base member so as to pivot at least between a swung-out drive position and a folded safety position. A spring element acts on the drive lever. The spring element, in the drive position of the drive lever, secures by a spring force the drive lever in the drive position but releases the drive lever, when a first counterforce surpassing the spring force acts on the drive lever, for pivoting the drive lever from the drive position into the safety position.

  • Publication number: 20030230050
Abstract: An apparatus for filling foil bags which are open on one side, wherein the foil bags are individually conveyed to a filling station. The foil bags are conveyed into the filling station in an inclined position with the stepped filling opening facing upwardly. A device for opening the stepped filling opening by blowing air is provided at the stepped filling opening.

  • Patent number: 6416047
Abstract: A frictional feeder for paper stacks has a frictional conveyor belt that receives a paper stack of paper sheets from above and conveys individual paper sheets of the paper stack in a conveying direction of the feeder. A curved support is positioned above the frictional conveyor belt at a rearward end of the paper stack, viewed in the conveying direction, and at a slant relative to a plane of the paper sheets of the paper stack. It supports the rearward end of the paper stack. An elbow lever with a first end and a second end is provided, and its first end is connected to the curved support. A self-locking drive unit is connected to the second end of the elbow lever. It is provided to pivot the elbow lever and the curved support connected to the elbow lever to adjust the slant of the curved support relative to the plane of the paper sheets of the paper stack.

  • Patent number: 6293535
Abstract: An individualization and transport device for blanks has a vacuum feeder with an endless belt circulating in a timed drive cycle in a transport direction. The endless belt of the vacuum feeder has an upper belt portion and a lower belt portion. An individualizer is arranged upstream of the vacuum feeder and feeds individual blanks from a stack of blanks onto the lower belt portion of the vacuum feeder at a first transport speed. A continuously moving carrier is arranged downstream of the vacuum feeder and has a second transport speed that is greater than the first transport speed. The endless belt moves at a third transport speed that is synchronized with the second transport speed of the carrier at the moment of transfer of the blank onto the continuously moving carrier.

  • Patent number: 6267367
Abstract: A device for collecting and transferring cut products has an in-process storage device and a feeder feeding a stream of the cut products to the in-process storage device. The in-process storage device has a collecting tray in which the cut products fed by the feeder are collected. A transport device is provided for transporting the cut products away from the in-process storage device. A rotatably driven transfer drum is positioned underneath the collecting tray. The rotatably driven transfer drum has a gripping device that grips in a gripping position a preset number of the cut products collected in the collecting tray and moves the preset number of the cut products to the transport device by rotation of the rotatably driven transfer drum by a preset rotary angle.
